The nominees for the 48th People's Choice Awards were announced on Wednesday, along with the unveiling that Kenan Thompson will return as host. The event will take place on December 6th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.
Kenan Thompson expressed his excitement at hosting the People's Choice Awards again this year and celebrating the incredible talent and fans that this show brings together. He also expressed his gratitude for being nominated, thanking the fans and congratulating all of the nominees. Prepare for round two!
Cassandra Tryon, SVP, Entertainment Live Events, NBCUniversal Television, and Streaming said in a statement that Kenan Thompson brought irreplaceable energy to the People's Choice Awards last year adding that his enthusiasm and passion for the pop culture and the fans was palpable in the room and on-screen. Cassandra concluded that they are all very excited to welcome Kenan back and see what he has in store for this year's show.
