'24' actress Annie Wersching has passed away.

Actress Annie Wersching, who was known for her roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation, 24: Live Another Day, The Vampire Diaries, etc., has passed away at the age of 45. Annie’s publicist confirmed the news in a statement that disclosed that the actress has passed away after a battle with cancer.

Annie Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, has also released a statement stating that there is a massive hole in the family's soul today, however, the actress has left them with techniques to fill it. Annie Wersching, Stephen noted, found wonder in the simplistic of times and did not require tunes to dance; she taught them to not wait for adventures to find them, but instead to seek them out, as she'd say.

Stephen Full went on to say that as he drove their boys, the real loves of Annie Wersching's life, down the winding driveway and street, she would wave them goodbye until they were beyond hearing distance and out in the world. He concluded that he could hear her wave goodbye to them.

According to reports, Annie Wersching was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, and her representative stated that there is nothing else for them to share beyond the fact that she has passed away and they are all going to miss her a lot.

Annie Wersching, a St. Louis native and devoted mother of three children, did begin her career as an actor with a cameo appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise and later moved on to guest starring roles on shows including Killer Instinct, Cold Case, Charmed, and Supernatural. Annie was cast as Renee Walker in the television show 24. The actress continued to appear on 24 for two seasons before becoming a series regular in the inaugural season of the Amazon Prime crime show Bosch in 2014. Annie Wersching worked on motion graphics and voiceover work in The Last of Us, a PlayStation masterpiece that spawned a hit HBO series of the same title in 2013. She has also worked in theaters including at the Marriott Lincolnshire, the Utah Shakespearean Festival and the Victory Gardens. Annie Wersching did appear as the Borg Queen in season two of Star Trek: Picard in 2022.

Annie's longest-running role is that of Amelia Joffe on ABC's soap opera General Hospital as she appeared in 80 episodes of the show. The actress also appeared on The CW's The Vampire Diaries as the mother of actors Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, who performed Stefan and Damon, the show's lead vampires. On NBC's Timeless, Annie played Emma Witmore, a time traveler and pilot who deceives her dying and thus becomes stuck in time.

Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, the game studio behind The Last of Us, took to Twitter to share a heartfelt tribute for a friend, writing that he had just learned that his dear friend had died and that the world had lost a beautiful artist and a human being. Neil mentioned that his heart is shattered and that his thoughts and prayers are with her family. At the end of his tribute, Neil Druckmann shared a link to a GoFundMe page created to support Annie Wersching's family.

Annie Wersching was defined as a private person by nature by fundraiser organizer Ever Carradine, and her diagnosis of cancer in the summer of 2020 accentuated that. The fundraiser's primary objective, according to the description, is to help her husband take care of their children Freddie, Ozzie, and Archie, and let them mourn the loss without the pressure of being forced to work. The fundraiser's description read that the actress desired to safeguard her boys and she wished to get better so that she could keep working. The description said that Annie did not want to speak about it but she desired to live her life on her schedule and spend time with her family.

The director and executive producer of 24, Jon Cassar, also paid tribute. He said his heart broke into more pieces than he could count, and Annie arrived into his life with a good heart and a contagious smile. Jon witnessed that she took his breath away with her skillset adding that Annie became more than simply a coworker to him, his family, and every team and the cast member who did work with her. The late actress will be missed greatly by them and the fans she every time found time to communicate with, according to the director. He came to the understanding that Annie would be missed that she had left her mark and that everyone was the better for it. Jon has shared a couple of pictures from the time they spent together.

Annie Wersching is survived by her husband Stephen Full and their three children, Freddie, Ozzie, and Archie.

We send our condolences to Annie Wersching's family and friends!
