Grammys this year has come forward with many phenomenal nominations, but some of the best albums of the year had to be left out of the race. Considered as two of the best albums produced this year, especially because these have been on the waiting list for quite some time now, 30 by Adele and Red (Taylor's Version ) by Taylor Swift are not in the list of the albums considered for the coveted Grammy awards this year. While the artists of these albums have several Grammys already lined up, these musical adventures will be left out from the honorable title.

However badly you wish for the Recording Academy to take back the snub and get Red and 30 on the albums to be awarded this year, the dream just will not come to reality. The Grammy nominations have already been rolled out as of November 23rd, and it is made clear that neither Taylor's Red or Adele's 30 will make the cut. Apparently, both the albums are not yet eligible for the honors. While they could have nabbed the awards even on short notice, there is a set period of time, the albums released during which are only to be considered for the Recording Academy awards.

Still, everyone's beloved All Too Well singer has grabbed eight nominations to her name for the awards show and is sure to win a handful of awards from the nods that she has secured.

Notably, the Grammy Awards eligibility period for the nominations released on November 23rd began from September 1st, 2020, and ran until September 30, 2021. Hence, the music tracks, singles, albums, and records to be considered for the awards for the 64th annual Grammy awards show, which is to be held on January 31st next year, are only to be selected from the time interval mentioned before.

As both the albums were released out of the time period mentioned for the 64th presentation of Grammy awards, the music of these albums is not yet eligible for the Recording Academy's criteria. Adele's latest album that has been talked about for more than 5 years, 30, dropped on November 19th, 2021. Though the album is a masterpiece in all its right, the November 23rd nomination announcement at 12 pm ET excluded the album. Still, the album is most likely to be nominated for multiple awards next year when the Recording Academy rolls out its next list of nominees in November for the 65th award show.

On the other hand, Taylor manages to land more than a few nods for her album evermore that released last year on December 11th, 2020. Now that the singer has also released a rebooted version of her old masterpieces, Red released on November 12th, 2021, and Fearless, the two albums stand the chance of grabbing the awards when the next nomination list comes out. However, Taylor Swift has decided not to submit the re-recording of her album Fearless, which was released on April 9th, 2021. The original album had already secured the title of the Album of the Year at the 52nd Grammy Awards in 2010.

Billboard has announced that a rep of Taylor Swift shared, “After careful consideration, Taylor Swift will not be submitting Fearless (Taylor’s Version) in any category at this year’s upcoming Grammy and CMA Awards.”

The rep added, “Fearless has already won four Grammys including Album of the Year, as well as the CMA Award for Album of the Year in 2009/2010 and remains the most awarded country album of all time.” Hence, the singer decided that it is better to submit her latest album evermore for all the eligible categories instead of dividing her fans' focus to two different artworks, especially one that has already been received well prior. Taylor wants her listeners to focus on her new music.

However, Red was not so lucky back in the day and did not perform as well as evermore at the awards event. The previous version of the album Red was nominated for the Album of the Year award and also the Best Country Album of the year in 2014 for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. However, the album lost to Random Access Memories by Daft Punk in the category of Album of the Year, while The Civil Wars managed to steal away the honor for Best Country album leaving behind Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw. The Best Country Album award the same year went to Same Trailer Different Park by Kacey Musgraves

But stay rest assured that Taylor will get to send her latest work, Red ( Taylor's Version ) for nomination considerations next year. The album has already become a mainstream phenomenon and is the conversation driving factor in most musical circles. Appreciated well by listeners and critics, the album has gained an applaudable count of five stars from Rolling Stones and sold half a million copies just in the first five days of being released! Also because the Album currently does not have any awards to its name, Taylor might consider sending it for the Grammy awards which will be held in 2021. Until then, keep voting evermore!
