Are you a Potterhead and can not leave behind the magical world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts?

Once you start watching fantasy films it becomes so much more difficult to come back to reality. As a point, who would want to come back to reality once you get acquainted with the magical worlds right?

The charm and allure of the fantasy world are one of the best things that came forward with the young adult films of Harry Potter. The film franchise enjoys a great fandom that could literally curb the fans of Star Wars and MCU.

If you have finished with all the eight films of the Harry Potter series and saw the young child evolve into a teenager along with his friends to defeat the evil overlord, it is time that you look forward to more films like it. The reality is too bleak without magic and adventure either way!

The Fantastic Beast series

If you are done with Harry Potter, the first series you should pick is Fantastic Beasts. A prequel series to the events of Harry Potter, the Fantastic Beasts franchise lets the audience see the history of the magical world. The films are based on J.K. Rowling's book series of the same name and carry you to the magical world beyond Hogwarts and to the wizards of the ea world.

The one character that you would love to watch in Fantastic Beasts is Dumbledore but in his younger years. The best part is that in Fantastic Beasts, you will finally get to see the legendary battle of wands fought by Dumbledore and Grindelwald. The battle was only hinted at in the Harry Potter series, but witnessing the greatest battle of wizards in history is truly a fascinating prospect.

A MONSTER CALLS (2016)

Quite similar to the story of Harry Potter, 14A Monster Calls also explores the trope of a young near-orphan boy. In Harry Potter, we see that the young Harry never had many friends in his childhood, but things changed when he finally entered the magical world of Hogwarts.

Similarly, this film adapted from the novel of the same name by Patrick Ness shows a young boy who is lonely too. His father barely wants to do anything with him, while his mother is suffering from cancer. The lonely young child's life finally takes a turn when Connor meets a magical monstrous tree who promises to provide him cures.

10The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe (2005)

A magical world also filled with evil witches and wizards like Harry Potter, the film series especially caters to young adults. The film is also based on a seven-book series by C.S. Lewis, just like Harry Potter. The story shows a magical world accidentally found by children when looking about their vacation home. The world of the children and the magical realm is connected by a wardrobe

The 2005 film,  The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was released, marking the first film from the three-film series to be later released based on the books. The next released films were Prince Caspian, which was released in 2008, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, released in 2010.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010)

Percy Jackson is a novel series that has been read by teenagers for over years now. The multi-novel series by Rick Riordan shows the lead Percy Jackson as a young demi-god finding his way in a world that works on the whims of the Olympian Gods.

The novels are based on the myths of the Greek Gods and there are several novels in the series that independently explore the stories of these gods as Percy Jackson finds ways to set right to the wrongs these Gods have committed.

If you are a fan of the OG Percy Jackson novels, you will need to keep in mind that the films are only very loosely based on the books and have major changes as compared to those. Yet, if you are looking for a magical and fantasy universe to lose yourself in, you should definitely give the films a chance.

Fellowship Of The Ring (2001)

The Lord of the Rings is a book series that enjoys as much love and appreciation as the Harry Potter books. Usually recommended as a substitute to the Potter books, the Lord of the Ring series by J.R.R. Tolkien is amazing and captivating with its unique world-building.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy was the first set of films based on the Hobbit world as shared by Tolkien. The film went around to win several Oscar nominations and wins and has sold well over 150 million copies.

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first movie about Middle-Earth's magical land created by Tolkein and includes the portrayal of magical beings like Elves, Hobbits, Dwarves, other magic users, and warriors. The collective group is adamant to save their world from many sinister forces.

The world by Tolkien has now received many films and also is the basis of a series, Rings of Power.
