A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Rapper A$AP Rocky, 33, entered a not guilty plea to the assault allegations brought against him in November 2021 when he appeared in court in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Judge Victoria Wilson also issued an order of protection against A$AP Rocky. November 2 has been set as the case's next court date.

Rakim Mayers, A$AP Rocky's true name, came to court with his lawyer, Sara L. Caplan, and entered a plea of not guilty to the claims that he shot A$AP Relli in November 2021. A$AP Relli said that A$AP Rocky led him into a secret spot in Hollywood to talk about a quarrel, and then accused him of firing two gunshots in his direction.

A$AP Relli reportedly needed medical attention after being hit by a bullet projectile in his left hand. He is now asking for a minimum of $25,000 in damages. A$AP Rocky has been told not to own, purchase, try to purchase, receive, or attempt to receive any firearms or ammunition and to always maintain a 100-yard distance from A$AP Relli. If A$AP Rocky owns any firearms, the judge ordered him to turn them into the police within 24 hours and notify the court that he did so.

There have been almost fifteen requests from the media for the court to allow video and photography for the proceedings, which Judge Victoria Wilson informed the respective attorneys about. Neither party objected, and the judge granted the request because she strongly believes in public access to the judicial system and transparency of the proceedings.

The attorneys for A$AP Relli, Jamal Tooson, and Brain Hurwitz, told Entertainment Tonight outside the courtroom that the Los Angeles Police Department has the video that A$AP Relli had mentioned and that they haven't been able to access it. The video allegedly depicts the alleged incident. According to Jamal Tooson's interpretation, the video supported what their client had claimed about his interaction with A$AP Rocky. He went on to say that the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is pursuing the case because they believe they can secure a guilty judgment.

A$AP Relli had disclosed that there was a minor quarrel with A$AP Rocky, but nothing justified being lured outside of his home and shot at with a gun, according to A$AP Relli's attorneys, who claimed that he was taken by surprise by the occurrence. A$AP Rocky was charged with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm on Monday, according to L.A. County D.A. George Gascón. He said in a statement that using a firearm in a public setting is a serious crime that may have resulted in disastrous outcomes for the target as well as for innocent onlookers visiting Hollywood. The charges come from an event on November 20, 2021, in which A$AP Rocky pointed a semi-automatic handgun at a victim during an argument.

On April 20, A$AP Rocky was taken into custody in connection with the 2021 shooting at the Los Angeles International Airport after he returned from a vacation with Rihanna. The rapper posted a $550,000 bond and was freed from custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles the same day. The anonymous victim, who later sought medical attention, had a minor injury from the gunfire, according to authorities at the time.

A$AP Relli, who has identified himself as the shooting victim, has now filed a lawsuit against Rocky and is requesting more than $25,000 in damages, as well as additional damages for medical costs and other relief, for the assault, battery, intentional infliction of mental distress, and negligence he claims he experienced. According to reports, A$AP Rocky may receive a prison term of up to nine years if found guilty on the charges against him.
