American football quarterback, Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 and has now made his first public appearance since the announcement at "The Pat McAfee Show", where he spoke about the ‘woke mob’ and ‘cancel culture’ along with explaining why he has not been vaccinated yet.

Pat McAfee allowed the Green Bay Packers quarterback to speak, and he began by blaming the woke mob for coming at him. He said, "I realize I'm in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now. So before my final nail gets put in my cancelled culture casket, I think I would like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about me."

Commenting about why he has not yet been vaccinated, Aaron Rodgers shared that he did plenty of research on the vaccines, but he discovered that he is allergic to something in the mRNA (Pfizer and Moderna) vaccines. Aaron also shared that the Johnson and Johnson vaccine became his only option, but the vaccine was pulled out in April because of the side effects like blood clotting issues, after which he sought other treatment based on the conversations he had with his medical teams. Without going into the details about the treatment, Aaron Rodgers asked the Packers to "accept my immunization status as under their vaccination protocol", along with stating that he didn't believe some of the league's protocols were based on science and were instituted to shame players to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

The quarterback chose a homeopathic treatment, which he believes boosts his immunity against COVID-19. He declined to discuss the homeopathic treatment in detail but described it as "a way to stimulate my immune system to create a defense against COVID," which is a very good way of describing how vaccines work.

Aaron Rodgers said he started to feel sick on Tuesday night and tested positive on Wednesday, and he "didn't feel great" on Thursday, but felt better on Friday. The player also stated that the media is currently on a witch-hunt to identify which players were vaccinated. He also blamed reporters at the news conference where Rodgers said he was "immunized." Aaron Rodgers said if any reporter asked a follow-up question, he would have explained that he's "not an anti-vax flat earther", but that he's a "critical thinker."

Aaron Rodgers also addressed that he was being placed in the ‘cancel culture casket’ because he decided not to get vaccinated. He also asked, "If the vaccine is so great, then how come people are still getting COVID and spreading COVID?" Rodgers claimed multiple times that he caught the virus from a vaccinated person, but he offered no proof. "This concept that it's a pandemic of the unvaccinated is a complete fabrication." The quarterback also stated that he is not concerned about wearing a mask around groups of vaccinated people since he believes that their faith in the vaccine should make it immaterial whether he is masked or not.

Aaron Rodgers continued to speak and invoked "my body, my choice", thanking Joe Rogan for giving him advice, and quoting Martin Luther King Jr, stating, "The great MLK said you have a moral obligation to object to unjust rules and rules that make no sense. In my opinion, it makes no sense for me." Since Aaron Rodgers is unvaccinated, he must miss 10 days under National Football League protocol. He will not be available to play when the Packers take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Jordan Love will start at quarterback with Rodgers out.

Jordan Love talked to the media on Friday, confirming that he had been vaccinated and wearing a mask during the press conference because he was close to Aaron Rodgers. If Jordan Love had not been vaccinated, he would have been subjected to a five-day quarantine if he had been identified as close contact with Rodgers by the National Football League.

Aaron Rodgers’ fiancé, actress Shailene Woodley, shared a quote on her social media about finding your power during ‘storms after Aaron revealed that he is not yet vaccinated and has tested positive for COVID-19. She deleted the quote from her story after a few hours. The quote read, "Calm Seas May Bring You Peace, But Storms Are Where You’ll Find Your Power".

The couple announced their engagement in February 2021 while accepting his National Football League Most Valued Player award, and Shailene Woodley later confirmed the engagement while appearing on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," saying, "Yes, we are engaged, we are engaged." But for us, it's not new news, you know, so it's kind of funny, everybody right now is freaking out over it, and we're like, 'Yeah we've been engaged for a while.'"
