Grammy Award-winning singer Adele shared an emotional moment with her high school teacher, Ms. McDonald, when she reunited with her during a televised performance, "An Audience with Adele," on November 6, 2021.

During the filming of an episode, Adele also answered some questions about the celebrities present in the audience, which included actor Samuel Jackson and actress Emma Thompson. Emma Thompson asked the singer about someone who had supported, inspired, or protected her as a youngster, to which Adele without any uncertainty replied that Ms. McDonald, her English teacher at Chestnut Grove Academy, was that someone for her.

Adele continued, "Yeah, I had a teacher at Chestnut Grove who taught me English. That was Ms. McDonald. She left when I was in year eight. It was just one year, but she got me really into literature. I've always been obsessed with English, and now I write lyrics. She was so bloody cool and engaging. She made us care, and we knew that she cared about us. [She was] so relatable and likable that I looked forward to my English lessons".

Emma Thompson revealed that Ms. McDonald was present in the audience, and listening to this, Adele broke into tears and interacted with her former teacher as she made her way to the stage. Ms. McDonald said to Adele, "Oh, my god, I’m so proud of you."

Adele said to her former teacher, Ms. McDonald, "No, you did change my life." I still have every book from when you were my teacher. " The 33-year-old singer, who has been promoting her recently released album "30", asked her teacher if they could be in touch.

It has been reported that Adele gifted her high school teacher, Ms. McDonald, and her family, diamond package tickets worth £500, to watch her perform at BST Hyde Park next July after reuniting on-stage during An Audience with Adele earlier this month.

According to a source close to The Sun, "Adele's reunion with Ms. McDonald touched the hearts of everyone who watched, but no one more so than Adele herself. After the ITV audience, with her team, got Ms. McDonald's number, so Adele could reach out again. She has now offered her diamond package tickets worth £500, each to her and her family for her BST Hyde Park gigs in London. Adele wants to make sure she and her family have the best time ever and wants nothing more than to treat Ms. McDonald's."

Speaking of Adele’s latest album, "30", it has been a few weeks since it was released, and it has already managed to be one of the top-selling albums of 2021. The singer has explained that her album is about her separation and eventual divorce from Simon Konecki and her attempt to make her son Angelo explain how she feels.

Adele clarified in a recent interview with Zane Lowe for his Apple Music 1 podcast that she did not write the album for quantity or critical acclaim. She explained, "I'm never going into the studio to be like, ‘Right, I need another hit. It's not like that for me. When something is more powerful and overwhelming than me, I like to go to a studio because it's normally a basement, and there are no f---king windows and no reception, so no one can get a hold of me. So, I'm basically running away. And no one would've known I'd written that record. And it's like, maybe I just had to get it out of my system and stuff. "

The nominations for the Grammy Awards 2022 were recently announced, and it came as a surprise to everyone that Adele was not nominated, but there is a reason for her omission. It turns out that Adele’s single or album did not make it to the eligibility deadline, which was September 30th, 2021, and the first round of voting for final nominees started on October 22nd, 2021, and Adele’s "30" dropped on November 19th, 2021.

The fans shouldn’t be disappointed because the singer’s latest album can be considered for the 2023 Grammy Awards. Adele holds 15 Grammy Awards under her belt. The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 31st, 2022 on CBS.
