Adidas has ended its partnership with Ye.

Adidas, like Balenciaga, has spoken out against Kanye West's recent anti-Semitic remarks. Earlier this month, during his appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, Kanye West had said that he can go on saying anti-semitic shit and Adidas cannot drop him.

Adidas issued a statement on Tuesday stating that they do not endure antisemitism or other forms of hate speech and that Kanye West's recent comments were inappropriate, full of hate, and worrisome. Following a thorough review, the sportswear company decided to end its collaboration with Ye immediately. The company's statement went on to say that since they have decided to end their partnership with Ye immediately, which implies they will stop producing Yeezy-branded products and will stop paying Ye and his companies. Adidas will discontinue the Adidas Yeezy business immediately.

In its statement, the company also stated that Ye's comments violated the company's values of inclusion and diversity, respect and understanding, and fair treatment. Adidas' action comes after Balenciaga and fashion magazine Vogue cut ties or business partnerships with the artist, and it was also noted that Kanye West was dropped from Def Jam Records as well as CAA as a client. WME and UTA, two other agencies, have also consented not to collaborate with Kanye West.

Kanye West had been represented by CAA since 2016, after briefly leaving the agency in 2015 to work with UTA. WME mogul Ari Emanuel said in a Financial Times column last week that those who continue to conduct business with Kanye West give his wrongheaded loathing an audience. MRC, the film and television production company that was intending to distribute Kanye West's documentary, also confirmed that they would no longer collaborate with him.

In a companywide email titled "Rise of Anti-Semitism and Hate," Jeremy Zimmer, CEO of rival agency UTA, wrote that Kanye West's comments empower and encourage others to amplify their loathsome beliefs. The CEO of UTA added that they will not endure hate speech, prejudice, or anti-Semitism. Please support Kanye West's boycott. On October 17, UMG tweeted that there is no place for anti - Semitism in their society, but did not address Ye directly.

MRC executives stated Entertainment Tonight stating that they could not support any content that amplifies Kanye West's platform. The executives stated that the leaders' and corporations' silence on Kanye or anti-Semitism, in general, is disappointing but not surprising. What is new and sad is the Jewish community is fearful of speaking out in defense of themselves.

On Tuesday, Gap issued a statement confirming that Ye's recent remarks and actions are the reason for their termination of the contract. According to their values, antisemitism, racial prejudice, and hatred in any form are inexcusable and will not be tolerated.

The Chainsmokers also took to their social media to announce that they would be removing their song with Ye from their streaming sites. The band shared a post on their stories that read, Eight years ago they made a song saying that they wanted to be like Kanye, adding that back then this guy inspired so many artists, including them, in so many ways with his music and vision. They mentioned that he sampled their recent song "NYC", which was very cool of him to do, but a lot has changed since then. The Chainsmokers wrote in their stories that Kanye West is not the same guy they loved and were inspired by, which saddens them. They are removing their songs from streaming sites because they no longer represent the views they once shared. The two-man band concluded by declaring that they wish that he gets his act together and stops using hate speech and bullying before it's too late, but that they will not tolerate such conduct.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's ex-wife, has also spoken out about West's anti-Semitic remarks. She wrote on her Twitter handle that hate speech is never acceptable or excusable adding that she stands with the Jewish community and demands that the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric directed at them end immediately.

According to Forbes, Ye has lost his billionaire status after losing deals with Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap. He was worth approximately $6.6 billion in March 2021 and now has a net worth of $400 million. The funds are derived from his various real estate holdings, music catalog, cash, and a 5% stake in Kim Kardashian's SKIMS shape-wear brand.
