Michelle Young has finally found her person! The Bachelorette season lead this year possessed a certain refined character for the way she led her season throughout and also maintained a sense of great responsibility with the way she conducted herself and choose her suitors.

But with the numbers drawing shorter and the remaining suitors getting immensely attached to her, picking one person became a difficult task for the lady, yet she managed to find the one person she thinks she can stay happy with.

The final episode of the season showed the young bachelorette taking her final two suitors, Nayte Olukoya and Brandon Jones, to meet her parents. Her family showed a lot of favoritism when it concerned Brandon, and so did Michelle herself. She had told the contestant that she was “already in love with him.”

But, before this specific turn of events, Michelle had already said the three magical words, "I Love You," To Nayte and her parents were a little worried about the fact. But the contestant proved his gall when he told her that he was completely ready to commit for her, and when Michelle asked him to prove it, he bent on the knee and popped the question! Michelle told the cameras that she had found her "person' in Nayte Olukoya.

But, things took a dire turn when Michelle returned back to her hotel to a letter waiting for her from Brandon. The letter read: “Michelle, ever since you’ve entered my life, I don’t view the world the same anymore. I realized that a world without you is a world I fear to face. You have truly infected me with the love I don’t believe is remotely easy or common to ever find in a lifetime."

The star elaborated his expressive feelings for the lady, writing, "A love so beautiful and deep that it leads me to a pure understanding that what I have with you is a love of wanting more for someone than for themselves. The kind of love where I will always place your happiness above mine. Follow your heart, Michelle, and never look back because I followed mine, and it led me to. Just know Michelle, you will never need to ask for my love because I will love you forever. I see you, I have always seen you, and I will always see you.”

This led the actress to say that she was utterly confused, as she put it by saying, “I have two men, and I’m in love with them both. They have given me everything that I’ve asked for, and tomorrow is going to be the hardest decision I’ve ever made.”

Unfortunately for Brandon, things turned out extremely bad, and he was sent packing home as Michelle picked Nayte's Neil Lane engagement ring over Brandon's. Her parting words for the star were, “It’s not that I don’t love you, because I do.” Stating the reason why she preferred the Texas native to the former, she continued, “It’s just that my heart is pushing me in a different direction, and I have to go with what I feel, and it hurts so much because you are this unbelievable person. … You truly will always have a piece of my heart, Brandon.”

The immensely hurt contestant repeated his words saying that he would always place Michelle's happiness before his and contended with the fate he was dealt with. The two shared a moment, and then Michelle composed herself to meet Nayte.

“Michelle, the very first night I met you, I knew right then and there that we had a connection that I wanted to hold on to. The second night that we were together, we talked about running away together,” started Nayte. “I’m standing in front of you right now, and the feelings are the same. I want to run away with you. I want to run away forever with a woman that I’ve come to love this amazing, crazy, wow kind of love."

He added, "And through this journey, you’ve shared a lot of vulnerable sides of your past, and I know that you’ve felt unseen at times, and I want to let you know that I am completely prepared, willing, and ready to make sure that you are always chosen first, seen now, today, tomorrow and for the rest of our lives. I love you, Michelle.”

Remarkable, it is to notice that the two had formed a connection from night one. The reality TV star herself shared her fears and doubts, adding, “This has not necessarily been a smooth ride, but I’m also not willing to face that fear of walking away from this without you.” “Because I have never felt a love like this before. And I love you with my entire heart and don’t ever want to think about waking up next to anyone besides you and doing life with anyone besides you. And at the end, I wanted to be standing in front of my soulmate, and he is definitely standing right in front of me.”

Nayte is not the only first impression rose winner to woo over the lead cast member. DeAnna Pappas was the first lead lady to pick her first impression recipient, Jesse Csincsak, as the winner of her show and was then followed by Ali Fedotowsky.

“If it were up to me when I was the Bachelorette, there would have been no season … there would have a season, and it would have been Frank and Roberto the entire time,” Ali told Us Weekly’s when talking on “Here for the Right Reasons” podcast in August 2020. “I knew night one, it was Frank and Roberto for me, I knew it, one or the other.”
