Serving as the prequel to 55-year-old director Zack Synder’s Army of The Dead, released on May 14, 2021, Matthias Schweighöfer directed heist film Army of Thieves debuted in theatres on 29th October 2021, with absolutely stunning visuals and an interesting storyline of Ludwig Dieter (Matthias Schweighöfer) along with Gwendoline (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Korina(Ruby O. Fee) taking the viewers into the world of zombies.

While making an appearance in a recent interview with CBR, the film stars Nathalie Emmanuel and Ruby O. Fee opened up about their favorite part from the blockbuster film and why their characters Gwendoline and Korina respectively decided to pick Dieter’s side in a crucial moment of the film.

Nathalie Emmanuel shared her favorite part from the film saying, “It is a lot of fun. I mean, there's two things really, I always enjoyed the scenes where it was the whole gang together. We had such a laugh shooting together. But also, I really enjoyed the fights. I mean, it was just a lot of fun to do. And all the prep that went into it. I'm just really proud of the fights in this movie. But there is another part actually, we shot it in this house, and there were loads of cats in it. And I'm a cat person. So that was really fun.”

Emmanuel further went on to explain the important scene from the film where her character sided with Dieter. “So Gwendoline has a really clear idea of the mission and the past that she's kind of leading this group towards, and she always had her team and her clique, but she basically was like, "I just need people to help me do this one thing." And when the kind of betrayal happens within the group, it happens before they've completed the mission. And as much as her loyalty and everything is tested, she ultimately chooses the mission. And she chooses to do the right thing over loyalty -- or loyalty to a person that she's been connected to for a really long time, and who's taken care of her and they've taken care of each other,” Nathalie Emmanuel explained to CBR.

She added, “And so yeah, there's a moment where she's like, "This person has kind of been my family for 15 years or whatever, and now, they know what this means to me, and they've betrayed that." And, yeah, so she decides to choose her own path really, and her own dream, which is really powerful, I think. And in doing that, she chooses Dieter.”

When asked about the same to the 29-year-old actress and producer Ruby O. Fee. She replied,  “I think Korina's path was more like she belonged to a group and that was her thing, like having a family that she can fit with and fight for and this whole process of her, I don't know, being in this world and having a meaning and having something that she can hold on to.”

With Matthias Schweighöfer leading the film as the director and main actor in the role of Ludwig Diete, he is joined by Army of Thieves’ other cast members such as Nathalie Emmanuel in the role of Gwendoline, Guz Khan in the role of Rolph, Ruby O. Fee in the role of Korina, Stuart Martin in the role of Brad Cage, Jonathan Cohen in the role of Delacroix, Christian Steyer in the role of Hans Wagner, Barbara Meier in the role of Lucy, Noemie Nakai in the role of Beatrix, John Bubniak in the role of Christopher, Peter Hosking in the role of Policeman Joe.
