Jesse Williams’ ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is calling him out.

Is it beneficial for the health and wellbeing of children who are 7 and 8 years old to be taken out of school regularly to fly across the country overnight on a red eye to be on the ground for two days? Aryn Drake-Lee asked her ex-husband and Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams in a post on social media.

"Is it reasonable for the kids to return home bewildered and confused and then be expected to pick up immediately and survive at school for the rest of the week?" added Aryn's caption. She continued by saying that she doesn't think so and added that none of the regular parenting parents would concur with this pattern for the kids. Jesse's ex-wife wrote # receiptseason # ihavestayedquietforfartoolong after saying that there is a name for an adult who demands their children to cater to, care for, and serve that adult's needs at the expense of the children.

Jesse Williams, a Tony-nominated actor who is presently performing on Broadway's "Take Me Out" in New York and getting ready for its second run, allegedly asked the court to modify their previous custody arrangement. The actor had sought an urgent custody hearing this week, asking that the agreement in which he gets to see his kids for four straight days while he works in New York be expanded to include days in October, as well as days during the kids' Thanksgiving break, and days through January.

According to the paperwork, Jesse Williams alleged that his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, was preventing his children from traveling back to New York for his second Broadway run. He said that the play is scheduled to begin in October and run through at least January 2023. He also said that he would be returning to New York in early October for the rehearsals. He asked his ex-wife to follow the court's previous order so that he could continue to see the children while he is in New York, but Jesse claimed that Aryn refused. To preserve their precious time together, Jesse and the kids have asked for an emergency court hearing, according to Jesse.

While Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee’s divorce was finally finalized in October 2020 and their child custody arrangement was decided in March, and Jesse Williams' monthly child support payments were significantly decreased the following month as a result of his departure from Grey's Anatomy. The back-and-forth has continued, however, with the actor appearing in court in June to ask Aryn Drake-Lee not to obstruct or otherwise interfere with his time with their two children. In response, Drake-Lee claimed that Jesse Williams has been bullying her, harassing her, and having tantrums over their shared custody arrangement.

Sadie and Maceo, two kids who are shared by the ex-couple, wed in 2012 after dating for more than five years. According to court documents, Jesse Williams filed for divorce in April 2017, and a judge ordered the couple to participate in a high-conflict parents program in March 2021 to help them better manage their shared custody of Sadie and Maceo. Records from the Los Angeles County Superior Court show that a judge allowed Jesse Williams' plea to modify his custody arrangements when he was performing in the Broadway production "Take Me Out" in New York.

According to court records, Jesse Williams did submit a legal petition in June asking Aryn Drake-Lee not to restrict or obstruct his time with their children when he has custody of them. He also requested that the court order Drake-Lee to provide the required documentation so that Maceo may get a passport.

In response to Jesse Williams' lawsuit, Aryn Drake-Lee gave the court a copy of an email she wrote Jesse Williams' attorneys assuring them that the renewal of her son's passport was underway. She added that she previously complied with a judge's directives regarding Jesse Williams' permitted contact with the kids.

Aryn Drake-Lee previously spoke candidly to People in May 2019 about the toll that her acrimonious divorce from Williams had put on her and the children of the former spouse. She said to the journal at the time when parents, start spinning, the children start spinning, so even though parents stare at them and tell them everything is good, they know it's not fine because they can sense it's not fine. She continued that she talks to them on their level, like the one that is acceptable for the kids to see her cry and realize that she is having a difficult day. Aryn added that it’s because that reassures them that there is space for that when they experience difficult days.
