Bella Hadid comes out clean with the ‘blacked out’ at the Met Gala 2022 comment.

After the Met Gala 2022, which was held on May 2nd, Bella Hadid spoke with editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg from Interview Magazine and talked about her look for the gala, where she wore a black leather corset gown, thigh-high slit, mesh evening gloves, and sheer lace tights by Riccardo Tisci for Burberry. She completed her look with a sheer black train and a pearl anklet and was highly appreciated for the look as she looked gorgeous and chic.

She was asked how much of herself she had to suck in as she donned a tight corset and was she even able to breathe on the red carpet, to which she replied that she blacked out. Bella Hadid added that maybe she did not even get a good picture on the red carpet and shared that now when she looks back, she realizes that people stand there for 20 minutes and they give their best pose.

Bella Hadid further shared that she looked once to the left, once to the right, and she ran up the stairs and stated that if she remembered correctly, she stood on the red carpet for no more than three minutes and added that she was not aware if it was her anxiety or was it her waist that was giving cinch and she couldn’t breathe.

The model’s comments on how she blacked out did not go unnoticed, as the fans started to comment and talk about how far celebrities will go to look good on the red carpet and just for mere pictures. Some of the fans worried about the model as she has been open about her anxiety and other mental health issues when it comes to fashion styling previously. Some articles were written around the same topic, trying to be funny and stating that the model blacked out on the red carpet as she was not able to breathe, one of which was posted by Bella Hadid on her social media story to clarify what she meant to say with that comment.

Bella Hadid stated that she wants everyone to understand that she did not mean what the publications are interpreting when she said she was blacked out on the red carpet. She added that she did not mean that she blacked out because of the corset but that it was from her regular anxieties and excitement about the carpet. Bella also defended her gilded glamour night outfit and said that she had a great time at the Met Gala 2022 and her corset fit her perfectly and had enough room for her to get something to eat and drink. She concluded that corsets are generally pretty uncomfortable and hard on the lungs.

During an interview with Mel Ottenberg, Bella Hadid discussed her look, revealing that she and Riccardo created a nearly 25-page deck with all of their references, and she tried to limit it to the 1895 to 1903 period. Although she loved a lot of ties, big fabrics, tulle, corsets, and bustiers, they were clear that they wanted to keep the outfit very simple but chic. She was very proud to wear such a classic outfit that went perfectly with their vision and the theme.

Bella Hadid attended an after-party at Zero Bond in a black corset top with breast pasties that were unbuttoned. Bella wore a black satin corset with exaggerated shoulders and three-quarter sleeves with lace-trimmed cuffs. Her floral nipple pasties only covered a little portion of her chest and formed a halter around her neck. She paired the top with a see-through lace mini skirt and sheer lace socks that reached her thighs. Her sultry lingerie ensemble was completed with black leather sandals, a little pocketbook, and big gold hanging earrings.

Bella Hadid's comments on her Met Gala look come after Kim Kardashian was also criticized for the way she described how she had worked out so hard and had been off carbs last month to lose 16 lbs to fit into Marilyn Monroe's dress which she wore to former President John F. Kennedy's birthday.

Kim Kardashian's trainer clarified that she did not starve herself or did any thing that would harm her but everything was done under professional's watch and it was her dedication to lose weight to look good which honestly she did. But just like Lili Reinhart called her out on social media without naming her, a lot of professional nutritionist also mentioned that it was not healthy of her to loose weight like that and above all telling it to people at the red carpet. Kim Kardashian has not commented on the situation.
