Who could ever love kids more than their uncles or aunts? Are not we all guilty of spoiling our little nieces and nephews? Not that I would actually plead guilty ever, but it is just so easy to fall prey to all the small little giggles and charms of children!
Evidently, supermodel Bella Hadid, sister of Gigi Hadid, herself is no more immune to the infectious cuteness of her niece than any other aunts out there. The young model recently shared a cute message for her niece Khai, who turned one just a few weeks ago.
The two famous sisters are at the top of their game and have positively influenced the modeling industry for years now. Successful and wealthy, the sisters have their separate estates and places. And yet, Bella Hadid can't help but crash at Gigi's place because who would ever want to bid bye to their cute niece and head over to a boring house?
The American model, aged 25, talked about the many adventures of being an aunt and not wanting to be away from her niece for more than necessary and took to sharing her thoughts about her sister's baby. She told Zanna Roberts Rassi from E! News in a Daily Pop interview just this Wednesday on October 27. She said that she makes time, especially to be with Khai.
The model said, "I start to sleepover because I want to be with the baby. And I want to wake up early and be there."
The supermodel of Palestinian Jordanian and Dutch descent now spends the better part of her day gushing and fawning over her baby nieve Khai along with the rest of the Hadid-Malik family that just can't get enough of the little child. In fact, the model even went on to say that with the arrival of Khai, their family has changed for the better, and she can not believe that she could ever experience so much joy in life.
The actress revealed, "I never knew that I could have this much joy in my life. She's the biggest gift. Our family has changed in the best way for the better."
The Dior Makeup ambassador has hence taken on the role of a full-time "forever protector" aunt for her young niece. She even once joked inquiring if positions were open for "full-time aunties" and had asked, "Are there full-time aunties out there?"
Gigi Hadid, aged 26, is very much aware of Bella's devotion for her daughter, and the mother of Khai took to Instagram to relay her thanks and gratitude for her younger sister and also show love for Khai's part to the adoring aunt. The Tommy Hilfiger ambassador appreciated Bella and her role in Khai's life as she wrote this October post for Bella's birthday:
"She's my baby sister but also a firecracker of a spiritual bodyguard and a forever protector as an auntie. I have so much pride watching you take ownership of your growth and fulfillment, and I know everything that you have created for yourself will bring you the year of joy and light you deserve !!!!!! Can't wait. I love you more every sun-lap."
The model posted a picture of Aunt Bella and Khai for the occasion, accompanying the heartfelt post.
Previously, Bella also shared how much she was in awe of Gigi Hadid and respected her elder model sister for how she took care of her year-old daughter. As the family celebrated Khai's first birthday at the beginning of October, Bella gushed on Instagram.
She posted a carousel of pictures from the birthday party, which she captioned:
"Watching my sister be the greatest mother to the most magical child is the biggest joy in my life."
But that is not all of it. Just a few weeks before the party, Bella had shared a tribute to the first year of her niece and shared heart-warming birthday wishes.
"Happy Birthday to the greatest gift our family has ever been blessed with … I didn't know my heart could grow this big!!!! You make me smile when I'm sad and make me cry of happiness just because ur alive. I can't wait to watch you grow into the most perfect specimen of all."
The CHROME HEARTS + BELLA designer also featured a small honor for Khai's parents, former 1 Direction singer Zayan Malik, aged 28, and elder sister Gigi for giving Bella her "forever best friend."
The couple, for their part, is usually very hush about their relationship and their daughter and had kept Gigi's pregnancy a low state event for the most part. It was Us Weekly that had released the news of Gigi's pregnancy back in April 2020 with her then on-off boyfriend, Zayn Malik. Previously the couple was frequently rumored to be together and then on a break over and over again. The couple has been together ever since the arrival of Khai and welcomed their baby in September last year.
Malik had shared the good news through his Instagram and Twitter:
"Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try to put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together."

Though Khai has already become much-loved kiddo on the internet, Gigi and Zayn fans have not yet been blessed with a glimpse of Khai's face. While the couple is “happy with the way things are for now" and "feel so blessed," the singer and the model aren't in any rush" to tie the knot.
