Benjamin Mascolo and Bella Thorne call it quits.
According to reports, actress Bella Thorne, who was engaged to Benjamin Mascolo, has ended her engagement after announcing it a year ago. A source confirmed to People that the pair had conflicting schedules, which led to a lot of time apart, and they decided to part ways amicably.
Benjamin Mascolo has confirmed the breakup as he shared a lengthy post on his social media where he mentioned that three years ago he met the most beautiful human being and it had been a humbling experience to grow with her on his side. He continued that only God knows how many hearts he has broken and how many people he has hurt by following his ego and that now of all the things he could do is to be better and take full responsibility for all of his sins and mistakes, but added that he knows now that it was all a part of a bigger plan that guided him to be where he is today.
The Italian singer added that he is now ready for a new chapter in his life and has complete faith in what is meant to be. He will choose the path of truth above everything. Benjamin Mascolo continued that falling in love is the most beautiful gift one can experience in their life, but relationships are born and die, just like people, and it's a natural cycle of life and he accepts it. He added that it was meant to be and it was beautiful and wished the best for Bella Thorne and concluded that he would always be there for her.
Bella Thorne, after announcing her breakup from Mod Sun and YouTuber Tana Mongeau in April 2019, was spotted with Benjamin Mascolo. The couple made their relationship public in June 2019, when they walked the red carpet at the Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany for the international premiere of Bella Thorne's directorial debut, "Her and Him." Bella Thorne, at the time, shared with People magazine that Ben is a sweetie pie, and seeing him on FaceTime all the time makes her grin big, but she also mentioned that he lives in Italy, which she finds fascinating.
The former couple announced their engagement in March 2021 when Italian singer Benjamin Mascolo shared pictures from their engagement and wrote in the caption that she said YES and shared a follow-up video in which he said thank you to Bella Thorne for being so amazing and added that they’re getting married and the celebration will be in Italy and America both. Actress Bella Thorne also shared a video of herself showcasing her diamond ring. To celebrate their relationship’s milestone, Bella Thorne bought Benjamin Mascolo his engagement ring, and the ring featured diamonds studded on an interlocking T-shaped gold band.
In an interview with HollywoodLife, Bella Thorne shared at the time that her wedding planning was going slowly and explained that she had three-four movies slated for the next year and Benjamin Mascolo also has a lot of stuff slated for the coming months, so they are both in the odd position of having to work a lot and they wanted time off before the wedding so that they could enjoy it.
The former couple recently starred in the movie, "Time Is Up," which also marks Benjamin Mascolo’s acting debut, and it was released in September 2021. Bella Thorne spoke to TooFab ahead of the release of the movie and mentioned that acting with someone for the first time and them being the leader of the movie is so difficult for anyone and so rare that it happens, and added that she just trusted Ben and he was a natural right off the bat. The actress explained that working with him was a smooth ride as they never fought the whole time we were filming like there was never a new issue, so it was just smooth sailing the whole time. She also added that she has also never worked with someone that she dated. So for her, it was hard to express, but she added that it was great.
Benjamin Mascolo also opened up about the process of working with a romantic partner in his first film. He said that it's beautiful to have this as a stepping stone in their relationship, and they're even more in love while working on the movie because, it was the first time they would work together for so many hours a day.They understood that they will be having a lot of stress and a lot of responsibility but they just went for it and the two of them came out on the other side and were stronger as a couple. It was a win-win in everything the singer-actor said at the time.
