Blake Shelton is saying goodbye to The Voice.

Country singer Blake Shelton is ready for his next adventure after twelve years of being a coach on The Voice.

Blake Shelton on Tuesday,  announced that the upcoming season of The Voice will be his final, capping a run of 23 seasons with the show. He announced on Instagram that he has been wrestling with the idea for a while and has decided that it is time for him to leave "The Voice" after season 23. Blake Shelton is the only coach on the show who has participated in every season since its debut on NBC in 2011.

Blake wrote in his post that the show has changed his life for the better and that it will always feel like home to him, and that it's been a wild ride for over twelve years of chair turns. He expressed gratitude to everyone at NBC's The Voice, including the producers, musicians, writers, crew, and catering staff, for being the best and helping them in the best way possible.

Blake Shelton continues the post by stating that putting a live show on television twice a week requires a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages. The country singer stated that he has formed great friendships with host Carson Daly and each of his fellow coaches, which include his wife, Gwen Stefani, during his time on the show. Blake expressed gratitude to the singers, or "voices," who come on stage season after season and impress him with their talent, as well as those who chose him as their coach.

Finally, the country singer stated that it is all about the fans who watch and support the artists who appear on the show, as well as the coaches and everyone else at The Voice who is pursuing their dreams. Blake concluded his post by saying that nothing would have happened if the audience had not supported him.

Blake Shelton has been a coach on The Voice alongside Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and CeeLo Green, and since Adam Levine's departure in Season 16, various celebrities have filled the red chair, including Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher, Nick Jonas, and others. Team Shelton has won the show eight times during his tenure.

Apart from Blake Shelton’s exit, Kelly Clarkson, who exited the show after winning season 21, will be returning to The Voice for season 23 alongside Chance the Rapper and former One Direction band member Niall Horan, who will be making their debut as coaches on the show. Kelly Clarkson said that she is excited to be back on the show with her The Voice family.

Chance the Rapper said that he is thrilled to join The Voice as a coach for the next season and is excited to help other artists get to the next level and make the most of the life-changing experience. Niall Horan also expressed his excitement to debut as a coach on The Voice for season 23 and said that he is excited to be joining the show and is looking forward to meeting and mentoring the new crop of talent while they battle it out with other teams.

A source shared that Blake Shelton will continue to focus on The Voice in the new season, as well as his new show, Barmageddon, music, his 2023 tour, and, of course, his family and farm life. He's just concentrating on other personal and professional projects.

Blake Shelton after his exit from the show will still continue to collaborate with The Voice host and friend Carson Daly as they will be coming up with a new celebrity game show 'Barmageddon' for USA Network, which will be hosted by Nikki Bella. The show will be held at Blake Shelton's Ole Red bar in Nashville, with Daly behind the bar and Blake Shelton onstage with his house band as celebrity guests participate in a series of classic bar games.

Blake Shelton was recently a bar in Los Angeles where he filmed a nostalgic music video for his new single. He shared that all he has ever considered himself was a country singer and that is his horizon adding that from a career standpoint, just keeps that thing going and having songs on the radio and being able to go out and tour and play. That's what he is going to do before stating that he is a country singer.

A premiere date for season 23 is yet to be announced by the network, but you can watch season 22 of The Voice on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Currently, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, and John Legend are serving as coaches for talented singers.
