Britney Spears wishes Jamie Lynn Spears a very happy birthday.
Singer Britney Spears recently took to her social media to wish her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears a very happy birthday, even though she has been publicly feuding with her.
Britney Spears shared two photos of Jamie Lynn Spears with the caption, "It's her birthday, but she's my heart, so she is thinking about her. Britney wrote further congratulations to Jamie Lynn Spears for being courageous, empowering, and showcasing courage and greatness in her show, the singer wrote in the caption.
One more time singer added that she is not alone and if anybody knows what it feels like, she gets it, stating that she loves her baby sister. The post from Britney Spears for Jamie Lynn Spears comes as a surprise since Britney did not hold back about sharing how her sister, along with her parents, had tried to make her life difficult during her conservatorship.
It is not clear whether the two of them have talked and buried the hatchet, but it surely seems like Britney Spears is taking steps to make amends with her family or sister.
Earlier this year, Jamie Lynn Spears received a cease-and-desist letter from Britney Spears’ attorney, Mathew S. Rosengart, ahead of the release of her memoir, Things I Should Have Said. The letter stated that Jamie Lynn Spears should stop sharing stories about Britney Spears’ life while promoting her memoir.
The memoir, which was released just two months after Britney was released from her 14-year conservatorship attempting to control her individual, medical, and financial affairs, was labeled "ill-timed" and contained misleading or outrageous claims by Mathew S. Rosengart. He also stated that, while Britney Spears has not read the book and doesn't feel inclined to read it, she and millions of her fans were flabbergasted to discover how they manipulated her for monetary gain. Mathew stated in the letter that the musician will no longer accept the same behavior patterns and that she should not either.
In response to the cease and desist letter, Jamie Lynn Spears’ attorney Bryan Freedman responded by pointing out that Britney Spears has shared vile statements about Jamie Lynn on her social media. Bryan noted that the only person being dishonest is Britney Spears, who has created an unsafe environment for Jamie Lynn and her children after she started to drag everyone during her social media rants.

According to the letter, Jamie Lynn has had her children violently threatened in previous social media posts, and they do not doubt that these new aggressive and intimidating social media posts will result in similar violence and threats. To be clear, postings on social media that include online bullying and result in threatening messages to Jamie Lynn and her family are not the high road, nor will they be tolerated. Bryan Freedman's letter also stated that Britney Spears has not read the novel and that she cease and desist letter neglects to clarify any legal wrongdoing.
The letter also criticized the "Toxic" singer's claim that Jamie Lynn had no chance to dictate her story, claiming that she is a member of the Spears family with her personal experience and trauma that she has every freedom to write about. Jamie Lynn stated in her memoir claims that she was unable to tell Britney Spears about her teenage pregnancy due to conservatorship issues and that Britney made uncomfortable her while she was holding her three-year-old daughter Ivey.
Britney has since denied the accusation from Jamie Lynn Spears clarifying in another social media post stating that she was never around her with a knife and wouldn't consider doing so to her or anyone. The singer went on to say that the only knife she had at home was for having cut the largest pieces of squash she had ever seen in her life, which were way large for her to cut.
During the back and forth, Jamie Lynn posted on Instagram that the social media false claims did not match up with what the sisters communicated in private. She stated that Britney will always be there for her and that she is aware that she has always been present behind the scenes. It's becoming emotionally draining when their discussions and text messages don't match what she posts on social media. According to a source at the time, Jamie Lynn has always desired the best for Britney and loves her with all of her heart, despite their complex relationship.

Jamie Lynn Spears stated in one of her posts that she has tried numerous times to speak to her sister directly and handle the issues privately, but Britney continues to do so publicly. In the meantime, Jamie asked Britney to please stop perpetuating the narrative that she hasn't been there for her or that she is making things up. Jamie said that she is pleased to share how many times she has reached out to her, supported her, and attempted to assist her. She eventually concluded that this is embarrassing and must be stopped.
Having said that, the siblings aren't particularly close. According to ET, Jamie Lynn Spears communicates with Britney mostly through her sister's husband, Sam Asghari. It's also known that Jamie Lynn doesn't have a close relationship with her nephews and feels very disconnected from Britney's life.
Britney Spears shares her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Jamie Lynn shares a daughter Maddie with her ex-Casey Aldridge and another daughter Ivey, with husband Jamie Watson.
Jamie Lynn Spears has not yet commented on the situation.
