Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland have decided to go their separate ways after two years of marriage.

Actress Brittany Snow of Pitch Perfect and her husband Tyler Stanaland of Netflix's 'Selling the OC' who got married in Malibu in 2020 after becoming engaged in 2019, separated on Wednesday.

Brittany Snow posted on social media that she and Tyler had made the difficult decision to end their relationship. She added that the decision was made with love and respect for one another because they had realised that they needed to take some time to ensure that they were each leading authentic and fulfilling lives.

The actress went on to say that they began this journey as best friends and that their friendship will remain a priority for both of them and their dog Charlie. After it was revealed that one of Tyler's Selling the OC costars, Kayla Cardona, tried to kiss him off-camera on two separate occasions, sources claimed that the couple's marriage had hit a rough patch. The pair had relationship issues before the reveal, but the source claimed that being on the show and having their lives made into a tale had sort of destroyed their relationship. Kayla did attempt to kiss him, according to Tyler Stanaland who appeared on Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast and also revealed that the incidents did not take place when they were shooting the show.

Out of respect for Kayla Cardona, Tyler said that he was just trying to downplay the incident and move on so that there wouldn't be any drama and everyone could concentrate on what they were doing when he said that she had tried to kiss him. Tyler stressed that nothing happened, but he also said that he had to set some firm limits and boundaries and reevaluate the social environment. Tyler noted that it was something where he had to treat married individuals differently than single people.

Kayla Cardona also clarified when asked about her fellow agent's attempted kiss that she made a huge mistake and would not have done it if she was sober. Tyler also apologized for blurring the lines between their professional and personal relationships.

The insider shared that the Brittany Snow never wanted Tyler Stanaland to be the part of the show, but he was very adamant and wanted to make a name for himself on his terms. Another one shared that the girls on the show are drooling over him, and even though Tyler is being respectful, the sudden change has taken a toll on their marriage.

During his podcast interview, the former professional surfer made it clear that Brittany Snow and their house would not be featured in the first season of Netflix's Selling Sunset spin-off. He remarked that at the beginning of this trip, he kind of wanted to keep some aspects of his life private, but perhaps as time goes on, that will change. But for the time being, that was essentially the only thing that gave him the confidence to set out on such an unusual voyage.

Brittany Snow talked about marrying her "favourite person" and posted images from their wedding day in July 2020, just before the pandemic locked everyone across the world in their own homes. She wrote in the post that she got to marry her favorite person in early March before they realized how much they would miss hugs and prefer to live in sweatpants.

The caption continued that a few days later, the entire world went down, and they were shocked by the timing. She continued by saying that although they were aware of their gratitude for having discovered one other, they were unaware of the blessing of getting married just before a turning point in their history. That day, everything that might have gone wrong did go wrong, but it was still utterly and improbably wonderful. Amid a life hurricane, Brittany said she realized more than ever on that day that she would prefer no one else to hold her hand.
