Cardi- B marks, first female rapper to reach the top on Billboard without any other artist's help.

Cardi-B, the second female rapper to peak the Billboard Hot 100 chart without any help of any ascribed artists in nearly 19 years, as her first appearance hit “Bodak Yellow” jumps from number two to number 1 on the updated chart.

The single outstripped the US Billboard Hot 100 rankings for three successive weeks, holding Cardi B the second female to top the list with a solo performance, following Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop” in 1998. “Bodak Yellow” got authenticated with the Diamond single award by the Recording Industry Association of America (RICCA) for selling more than 10 million pieces in the country.

According to Nielsen Music “Bodak” leads at number 2 on the Streaming songs list with 46.4 million US cascade, up 14 percent, on Sept 21. It bounced from 12 to 3 on digital songs sales, up 85 percent to 56,000 uploads, noting the Hot 100’s top gain in download sales (supported by a 69 percent discount in price in the iTunes store). In Radio songs, the song also raised on the list from 16 to 13, with 62 million listeners up 8 percent, in the week ending Sept 24.

The only female knocker to have two clips of her on YouTube channel with more than 1 billion news. The two videos being “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like it”.

Cardi B’s only investment was $ 15,000 for producing the song which in return was a huge saving for her when the song hit the 1 billion views on YouTube. She is also in the category of Top 30 most viewed YouTube music videos as a guest on Maroon 5’s “Girls I Like You”.

Bodak occupies a fifth week at number 1 on the Rap Airplay list and a second week hit R&B/ Hip Hop Airplay. The track peaks the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart, with a 3-1 rise; and launched on Pop songs at number 37.

Notably, for a second continuous week, the track tops the Hot 100 but not in the top week surge, airplay or sales. Still, the song has gathered enough lists to rule.
