Cardi B expresses her grief.

Takeoff’s Celebration of Life was held at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, where artists including Drake, Justin Bieber, Gucci Mane, Teyana Taylor, Da Brat, and Lil Yachty were present to pay their respects to the recently passed away Migos rapper Takeoff and celebrate his life.

Cardi B and Offset were also present at Takeoff’s Celebration of Life and later took to her social media to share a couple of pictures of the late rapper, along with her husband, Offset, who was Takeoff’s cousin, and a lengthy note remembering him. Cardi and Offset were seen for the first time since Takeoff was fatally shot when they emerged hours before the rapper's Celebration of Life service.

Cardi B wrote Takeoff's untimely death has caused great pain and sorrow in many people's lives, and the impact he had on the world was so profound that they are all struggling to grasp this tragedy. The rapper expressed her heartbreak, but she is thankful for the wonderful memories they were able to share while he was present, adding that it's been a miserable experience and the pain is indescribable. She prays that he will give Offset, Quavo, and their friends and family the strength to continue as they try to deal with the loss.

In her caption, the rapper stated that she believes angels send signs and beautiful dreams to loved ones to assure them that they are being watched and that they are safe and happy, and she prompted Takeoff to send a sign to his mother. Cardi B, a Migos fan, stated that seeing pictures and videos of all of them together and hearing their songs that altered the music industry, moved the culture, and got the cubs lit hurts her. It hurts her because she knows it would never be the same again, but she also understands that his brother and everyone else will make sure that the world never forgets the impact he had.

On her part, Cardi B added that she will remember Takeoff’s remarkable talent and dope ass personality, and she will pray that he is at peace and in paradise because he deserves every bit of it. She concluded that she knows God opened the heavenly gates for him with a warm embrace and added that she will also love him for life and after.

Offset changed his profile picture to one of Takeoff's after the rapper died. Takeoff was 28 years old at the time of the shooting, and he was accompanied by his uncle, fellow Migos member Quavo. Offset has not stated Takeoff's death, but Migos' record label Quality Control has issued a statement verifying the news.

They mourn the loss of their beloved brother Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, with a broken heart and deep sadness, according to the statement, adding that mindless violence and a stray shot have taken another life from the world, and they are heartbroken.

Takeoff was remembered in his official obituary as a gentle soul with tranquility around him and wise mannerisms far beyond his years. The obituary went on to say that he was delightful and spectacular both on stage and off. Takeoff instructed respect from performers, family, industry professionals, and peers alike wherever he went.

Finally, the obituary stated that there are no phrases or feelings conveyed that could adequately encompass the love that so many people had for him and the influence he had on this world. Takeoff would wish for the world to recognize the light in what he created and to continue lifting each other up and encouraging the creations people make. He's now among the stars he loved and admired, and he lives on every day in all of our ethers, through his music and the absolutely adore he brought to so many.
