Relationships are tricky, maybe more so ever, for celebrities as they spend a good chunk of their life in front of people presenting a picture of eternal love and more. And yet, Justin Hartley shared that relationships need not be so difficult and if things are taken at a normal pace, tying the knot could be an experience that lasts for a lifetime.

The actor married his wife Sophia Pernas seven months ago, and the two are ready to embark on their journey of wedded bliss. Sharing how great things are with his partner, the This Is Us star shared that they "are so happy."

The celebrity, aged 44, sat down with Haute Living for an interview, where he said, "It's incredible when you're not forcing things." He added, "It doesn't have to be that hard. You just meet the right person, and you just go, 'Oh, this is amazing. It's just so wonderful!' You're so attracted and so attached to this person. You just love this person so much."

The actor resonated with what most of the readers will be feeling, conceding that the two have been married only for a short while. And yet, are not the first few years of marriage the hardest? The star said, "Even though we've only been married a few months, it's hard to remember what it was like without her. When I re-met her, I just knew. It's so interesting about the human heart and the human mind."

Sharing his secret to a happy marriage and how the two are making it work, he revealed, "It's not a codependency. I'm just at peace with myself. I feel loved, and I feel appreciated. I know she feels the same way. We just have a really great relationship and a really terrific family. It's healthy, and it's wonderful."

Most people enter into marriages thinking that the other person would complete them or make their emotional happiness dependent on the state of the mind of their spouse. While the other half does complete you in a sense, you truly need to be a wholly developed person before entering into a marriage.

Though Hartley totally agrees with this notion, as he previously stated in his dialogue about codependency, he also agrees that Pernas completes him and helps make him a better person. He said, "Everything is easier with her in my life. I also feel like I’m better at stuff. I learn from her."

Also, he lowkey layered on a little too many compliments for his beautiful wife and if you are taking notes, remember that is healthy to appreciate your partner every once in a while, if not more often. So the star gushed about his wife, saying, "She speaks five languages. She’s brilliant, she’s incredible, she’s fun to look at. Everything about her is amazing — she’s just hilarious."

Not only did he compliment her, but also likened her to a good work of cinema, obviously meaning the two pay each other a lot of attention. He said, "She inspires me to want to be a better man like Jack Nicholson said in As Good as It Gets. I want to rise to the occasion because she’s so great. She does make me want to be a better person and certainly does complete me.”

So many celebs take a humorous take on their marriages and how they have made it work. The most remarkable has to be Isla Fisher saying, "A lot of people have asked me the secret to our longevity, and I say; it's all in the synchronized snacking technique." Make of that what you will. However, her husband had shared, "Happy Anniversary, my love. I'm writing this rather than getting you a card. Our duration is largely due to our location - after all Hollywood is the bastion of lengthy marriages." We don't if it's actually true, but so many celebs in the industry know how to make it work.

One of these has to be country singer Martina McBride who has been married for 33 years. Adding in her secret for marriage longevity with husband John, She shared, "It really helps if you find someone you like, not just love." Talking with People, the star shared that the company of each other has helped them deal with an empty nest. She shared, "I'm glad we like each other because when you're at your empty nest at the end of the day, it's important to have somebody, who you can just be silent with."

For the next celebrity couple, William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett, the secret seems to be celebrating each other's success and being happy in the happiness of the other. While it may seem like a pretty vague piece of advice, the two have been married for over 70 years and make marriage look like an easy job. The actor had told Forbes, "I think our relationship is based on mutual respect. I think she is smarter than me, a better actor than me, and so I just hang on, you know, and try to get along."
