Euphoria mania has been on a rise for a while now and many people quickly watched through the eight episodes of season 2. Though fans were eager to watch how things would go, the Season 2 finale turned out to be a little more dark than the audience would have imagined.

But there is one character who has proved to be tougher and more hardened than anyone on the show. Ashtray, almost an adopted brother to Fezco, played by Angus Cloud, is a character portrayed by Javon Walton, aged 15.

Young and charismatic, Walton brings out the fierce resolve in Ashtray. The character was robbed of his innocence too soon in life and now is a major accomplice when it comes to selling drugs or changing the cryptocurrency tide.

Not only is he alarmingly good at what he does, but he is also too far drawn into Euphoria's dark world that he can predict what the next evil will be launched onto his neighborhood.

Ashtray has suffered from extreme trauma that slowly turned into angst and anger on his part. Raised by Fezco after he was abandoned, Walton's character almost reached a state of fearlessness when it came to carrying out violence.

Hence, it was too eerie to watch a 15-year-old take on people in the show, where without a moment's hesitation he chose to stab or kill people. His hands did not shake as he stabbed Custer, played by Tyler Chase, in the neck for having worked with police to reveal Fez and his involvement with selling drugs.

When Fez requested Ashtray to allow him to handle the issue, Ashtray did not relent and was caught in the midst of a shootout by a SWAT team. The young fighter can only go so far until the audience hears his body hitting the ground.

However, Walton says that there is more to Astray's character than a violent survival streak. It is clear that he works hard and is so loyal to the people he loves that he would go to extreme lengths to save them. He is also smart and confident.

Yet, the actor who plays him could not be more different than Ashtray's violent self. Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Javon Walton shared that he is a ninth-grade student who does not like math a lot but enjoys Team Sports, where he gets to "mess around and play and play basketball."

The actor gave hope to people who wish that Ashtray is still alive and said that the character is the kind of person who could take a bullet and survive it. "Badass" and fearless, Ashtray could be a character who gets to continue his role into the third season of Euphoria.

The actor also shared that like most of the audience, he also does not know what the real backstory of Ashtray is. Yet, whatever horrors he had to ensure as a child has left him feeling relentlessly angry. The quality has been ingrained into him.

It almost makes sense that Ashtray was not treated well by his parents, and that might have led to why he is usually very angry, more than even Fez. His trauma runs way deeper than most people might realize.

Walton shared that shooting the season finale was a very "intense" experience for him, especially as he had to give a spectacular performance for the season finale. Ashtray does not get to have a lot of dialogue, but most of his emotions are portrayed just by how he looks and acts.

The actor also admitted that he felt sad to shoot the last SWAT team shootout because if Ashtray is actually dead, then his time aboard the sets of Euphoria has come to an end. He added that he would also miss his fellow cast members from the series.

But the actor expressed that despite his character having died ( probably ) in Euphoria, he is happy to know that he has made a "strong last impression."

Moreover, the end moments of Ashtray show how deeply Fezco cared for him. Fez tried to soften Ashtray's anger over and over again so that it was him who would engage the SWAT team. Fezco did not care if he died with a bullet to the chest or the SWAT team took him to jail. He just wanted to protect Ashtray.

Ashtray maintaining what he wanted to do, thinking it was the best for him was a selfish decision. Even if thought that he had seen so much in life and had it in him to face the encounter, he was still just a child. He was also very adamant to not go to a foster house.

Walton had secured his maiden acting project on Euphoria as he was a boxer and had featured on Steve Harvey's boxing show. He was approached by a casting director, Jennifer Venditti, and he instantly said yes.

He immediately secured the role as he auditioned for it as Sam Levinson liked his smaller build and went for him.

Coming from a history filled with violence and drugs, Ashtray deserved a lot better than he got. But there is still hope for his character considering we never saw his dead body.
