Britney Spears clears the air.

Singer Britney Spears clarified the rumor that stated she had fat-shamed her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Christina Aguilera.

Britney took to her social media and said that by no means she was being critical of Christina Aguilera’s beautiful body and added that it is what it is. She continued that she flew down to see her show once and that the main thing that she noticed was the difference in the people on stage and once again mentioned that by no means did she ever mention that Christina, people can look at her post. Britney said that she was inspired by her show and she is a beautiful woman of power and added a thank you to Christina Aguilera for inspiring her.

The comments come after the Toxic singer shared a post in which she wrote that she wished she could have chosen the nannies for her children and added that if she had had Christina Aguilera’s dancers, she would have looked extremely small. She wrote this alongside a quote from Rodney Dangerfield reading, "I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people."

Britney Spears shared that, since she isn't intentionally criticizing anybody, her post is a projection of the constant anxieties she experiences as a result of how her parents and the media have treated her. She claimed that she would never purposefully body shame somebody because she understands how it feels and battles with it herself, not because she despises anyone's appearance. Britney continued the fact that she didn't have a choice in who was on stage with her made her feel as though her family was aware of her insecurities and that others were attempting to deliberately feed into them. The singer said that she appreciated everyone's patience with her as she adapted to her new life.

In the comment, Britney also mentioned how her lack of liberty during her 13-year conservatorship damaged her confidence. She clarified her meaning by asking, "Why not talk about it?" She continued by stating that if she had been able to choose where she lived, what she ate, who she phoned on the phone, who she dated, and who was on stage with her at the time, wouldn't you believe her confidence would have increased? The singer mentioned that it’s hard sometimes now when she sees how much of her womanhood was stripped away at that time and how everyone sat back and didn’t say a thing. Britney stated that she will be here discussing topics that people never discuss.

As soon as Britney Spears posted about her confidence being shaken due to her 13-year conservatorship, she was slammed by the fans who perceived that she was trying to body shame the former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Christina Aguilera. One of the fans wrote that there was no need for her to put another woman down to feel better about herself and advised the singer to focus on her healing. Another fan described the post and comments by Britney Spears as toxic.

Christina Aguilera unfollowed Britney Spears from social media, which eventually led to Britney Spears clarifying what she meant with the comments. Britney Spears called out her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star Christina Aguilera after she refused to speak about Britney’s conservatorship during her appearance on the red carpet at the Latin GRAMMYs, and Britney said that after 13 years of being in a corrupt and abusive system, it is still such a hard topic for people to talk about. Two months later, when Christina Aguilera appeared on The Enrique Santos Show, she expressed that she couldn’t be happier for Britney Spears and mentioned that every woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves.

Britney Spears also took to her social media to wish her sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, a very happy birthday and shared a couple of pictures which she said in her caption were from last year. The singer recently spoke about their strained relationship in various audio clips which she shared but now has been removed. In a nutshell, Britney mentioned that whatever the circumstances are, she feels very proud of calling them hers.

Jayden James said in an interview that they feel like Britney Spears has to post on social media to get attention and that this has been going on for years and they just hope that someday it will stop, at least for them. Jayden had also mentioned that his brother Sean Preston had once asked Britney not to post his picture, but she did anyway, which eventually Jayden explained did not end well. The kids and the iconic star have been in the limelight since Jayden was interviewed and had mentioned that they think that the strained relationship can 100% be fixed.

Where has Britney Spears shared that she does not want to see them until she is valued adding that she sounds like a desperate and pathetic person who wants to be involved in her children's life? She added that all she knows is that her love for her children is more than anything and apologized to them as well. Britney added that she feels so blessed to even call them hers.
