Euphoria star Dominic Fike hints fan theories about him could be true!

Dominic Fike who stars in HBO Max’s ‘Euphoria’ as Elliot appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and addressed the fan theories of Elliot being Nate Jacobs played by actor Jacob Elordi’s brother. Dominic said, "I'm not even gonna lie, I saw this one online. I looked at it for a while, and there were so many things connecting and people talking about it through these Reddit threads. At the end of it, I was like, 'Am I Nate's brother?'" He joked, “I almost called him up and asked him.”

The entire fan theory of Nate’s brother started when Cal Jacobs played by Eric Dane decides to leave his house in season two episode four and the portrait of their family is shown and the audience could see that there were three brothers in the picture but the makers have only introduced the audience with two Nate and his elder brother Aaron played by Zak Steiner (rarely makes an appearance on the show) so who is the third kid of Jacobs’ family? Dominic Fike entered the Euphoria world in season two as Rue Bennett played by Zendaya’s mysterious friend who has managed to capture the attention of the audience and has his separate fan base.

There have been a lot of rumors about Tom Holland expressing his desire to appear on ‘Euphoria’ since season two premiered and finally getting a chance to appear in the finale episode of season two. Commenting on the same, Dominic said that he is not surprised that Tom Holland's name popped up as he was prepared for a question related to him. The actor-singer went onto praise the friendly Spider Man and mentioned that Tom is surprisingly a nice guy for playing Spider-Man on-screen. "You know, because you assume, as Spider-Man, you can do whatever you want. You can walk into any room and just point at someone’s girlfriend. He doesn’t do that. He points at his girlfriend and kisses her on the mouth", Dominic added.

There was another fan theory that the actor addressed which was that Elliot is not a real person and is a figment of Rue’s imagination to which the actor said that "You Wish". He finally admitted that his character will be back for season three of the most tweeted and talked about the show ‘Euphoria’. Portraying Elliot is Dominic Fike’s first acting job and the actor was nervous before the season premiered as he was supposed to be introduced as a third wheel between the two main characters.

Dominic Fike told to US Weekly before that he cannot wait to see how people would react to his appearance on the show and the actor was ready for hate messages from die hard fans. He seemed really excited to play Elliot on-screen and sharing screen space with Hunter and ZendayaDominic also shared that he finds portraying Elliot on-screen easy because his character reminds him of himself so much, “It’s s**t I would say and s**t I would do.” The only difference is that Dominic is sober. “I make music by myself, so I need to be sober to know how to plug this s–t in here. I’m so proud of how far my music has come. I’m expanding my knowledge. No drugs and alcohol anymore. I eat right [and] I drink water. Meditation helps me. Now that I’m making this one, I’m doing all that. I worked out today”, he added.

Talking about the new character who initially befriends Rue played by Zendaya was someone Zendaya had her doubts about because she is someone who ships ‘Rules’ but also mentioned that Elliot’s presence was necessary for the show. The actress added, “I was like, ‘whoa, whoa, whoa, what are we doing here? But, in retrospect, and also as someone who understands where the show needs to go and what needs to happen for these characters, it’s crucial that Elliot exist and that he be the person that is honestly the catalyst for a lot of things that just have to happen.” Just like Zendaya, Hunter Schafer also had her doubts but said that his introduction has been an interesting turn in the story.

Dominic Fike and Hunter Schafer are dating in real life and confirmed their romance on social media on February 10 after they posted pictures of them kissing in their Instagram stories. The two sparked romance when they were spotted together in January while holding hands and leaving a club.

Euphoria airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
