Kevin Federline comments on Britney Spears’ conservatorship.

During a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, expressed his thoughts about Britney Spears’ conservatorship ending and the drama that is unfolding at the moment related to Jamie Spears.

Kevin Federline said that, according to him, the conservatorship that the singer was put under almost thirteen years ago by her father, Jamie Spears, had in a way saved her, but admitted that it was hard to watch things unfold in their years-long battle of Britney Spears trying to get her freedom back. The conservatorship was finally put an end in November 2021.

Britney Spears' children's father claimed that the entire experience has been difficult to witness, difficult to live through, difficult to see their children go through than anything else, and difficult for him as a parent, characterizing it as the toughest thing he has ever done in his life. Kevin went on to say that Jamie Spears approached him and expressed his desire to assist his daughter, which led Kevin to believe that Jamie loved his daughter and the entire family and wished for nothing more than for everything to be alright. Kevin also mentioned that after Jamie Spears took control of the conservatorship, things improved to the point where Britney Spears' life was saved. He added that he feels that Jamie Spears stepping up as the conservator helped the situation since no one else was willing to do that for her, but he said that he was not sure if he overstayed or not, but Jamie did get everything back on track to a point where the iconic pop singer got 50/50 custody.

Kevin Federline also shared during the interview that their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were curious and wanted to know more about conservatorship of Britney Spears and stated that he did not know if he could answer all of their questions correctly, but he just tried to explain to them that their mother needed help and then there were people in play to try to make things better for her. Because Sean Preston who is 16 years old is so interested in emotions and how people think, he added that Preston has many questions and that Kevin said that he wouldn't be shocked if Preston became a psychologist. Kevin continued by saying that he can't answer all of his son's concerns regarding his mother because he wasn't there and doesn't know, but he attempts to explain that plans are made for their benefit and to handle a stressful circumstance.

Sean Preston and Jayden James have a restraining order against Jamie Spears, but Kevin Federline stated in the interview that he is open to the idea of the kids having to meet and possibly reconcile with their grandfather at some point. The kids have a restraining order after Jamie Spears allegedly got into a physical altercation with Sean Preston, who was merely 13 years old at the time. Kevin explained that he has no hard feelings towards Jamie Spears, and if the boys would like to reconcile with their grandfather, he’d be okay with it.

Kevin shared that people make mistakes and he does feel bad for Jamie Spears, describing that he feels like the father of the singer has been put through the wringer. During the same interview, Kevin Federline shared that the kids have decided not to see their mother at the moment, that they have not met her in months, and that it was their decision not to go to her wedding.

The father also shared that the nude pictures of the singer online do bother the kids and explained that it’s hard for them since they have to go to high school, but he tries to explain to them that maybe it’s just a way of Britney Spears expressing her feelings.
