You need not become the worst enemy of your ex, and staying friends after a relationship fails is an important lesson that many of us can learn from Hollywood celebrities. Though it seems like a difficult task, celebs maintain friendships after breakups and divorces and do a great job at bringing up their children together.

The former celebrity couple Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde are exceptional examples of this. Recently, Jason showed that you can appreciate your former partner without having any bad blood between the two.

His appreciation for his ex-wife came through a small mention in his latest comedy series. Jason has been working for Ted Lasso for quite a  while now and received immense love and support for his character apart from the various awards that he and the series earned. His sweet little shout-out to Olivia was featured in the same series.

But did you catch the small little nod that Jason Sudeikis made a part of Ted Lasso? The Easter Egg-like appreciation nod for Oliva was a gesture many would have overlooked, but not the die-hard fans of the previous couple.

The small nod was cleverly hidden behind a cryptic reference that many fans guessed rightly. It was actually when he was showing Norah O'Donnell from 60 Minutes about the sets and the locker room that fans noticed that the writers of the series had named the members of the crew after “friends, family members, and former mentors.”

While the star of the Apple TV+ show did not specifically name Olivia in the column, fans noticed that she was mentioned elsewhere. One of the lockers in the locker room was actually named "Cockburn."

You must know that Cockburn is the real surname of Olivia Wilde. In fact, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the camera particularly panned on the name Cockburn when Norah was talking to family members that inspired the show.

The sweet couple that many people thought would be end game revealed that they had broken apart back in July 2021. In an interview with GQ back in the August issue of the magazine, the Saturday Night Live star shared that both of them had called it quits to their relationship back in November 2020.

The two together share two children, son Otis, aged 7, and daughter Daisy, aged 4. Though the two have managed to set respectable boundaries for each other following the breakup, Jason revealed that he is still not sure why he and Olivia broke up in the first place.

Talking with the magazine after the split, the actor had shared that it might take him a year to finally process what had gone wrong in his relationship with Olivia. In fact, he added that he might get better in two years and even better in five years to come from then.

He hoped that the entire relationship would later take a backseat in his life. While presently it is as significant as a book, he hopes it will get contained to a chapter in his life one day, then a page, a paragraph, a line, a word, and finally a doodle.

He also shared that he could either keep on making excuses about the experience or learn from it and move on. He said that he will hold himself "accountable" for the breakup, work on himself and also learn how to get beyond the experience.

The two celebrities had met each other back in 2011 during an SNL finale party. They both started dating each other the same year and then the Ted Lasso star got down on one knee in 2013.

The two got engaged but the Booksmart director never got to walk down the aisle. They welcomed their two children, the first son in 2014 and then the daughter in 2016 until finally, they broke the news of their split.
