Disney Announces The Release Date Of Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings On Disney+

Marvel Studios has finally announced the release date for the premiere of its latest superhero film Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings. The film will be released this year on the Disney+ video service platform on 12th November.

The announcement was made by American mass media and entertainment conglomerate The Walt Disney Company as it celebrates the second anniversary of the video streaming service Disney+.

The Chief Executive Officer of Disney was recently, seen sharing his excitement for the inaugural day celebration of Disney+. He said, "The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company." He added, “This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses."

The announcement also comes off as Disney tries more and more to further expand its video service platform across the globe specially into Asia-Pacific markets.

Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings will be premiering with various other exclusive content which includes Disney's family-friendly film Jungle Cruise, Home Sweet Home Alone, Olaf Presents, Frozen Fever, Feast and Paperman, Ciao Alberto from Pixar, Dopesick, Oscar-nominated Mickey Mouse short, Get A Horse!, A special video clip celebrating the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+, a new clip from The Simpsons paying tribute to Disney's marquee brands and many more fan-favorite content.

Recently, Marvel Studios released a new teaser for its latest blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings which reintroduces a major supervillain from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The all-new teaser of Marvel Studios Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings brings back nostalgic memory about fan-favorite supervillain 'Mandarin' also known as Trevor Slattery for the fans and followers. The supervillain was last time seen in the 2013 Iron Man movie.

The superhero film performed exceptionally well on its opening days at the Box Office with an estimated $90 million in the United States and Canadian theatres.

The Box Office performance of the Asian superhero film far exceeded the expectation and speculation by the critics and studio. It even created a new record as the second-highest three-day opening after the opening of theatres.

Marvel Studios Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a 2021 American superhero film based on Marvel Comic Books. It's a unique film in its own way as it is the first movie from superhero-based franchise to feature an Asian superstar.

The film follows a storyline where a known Martial-arts master who is named Shang-Chi gets drawn again by his painful past. The Asian superhero then faces mighty supervillains and various kinds of life-threatening challenges from a mysterious Ten Rings organization.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton serves as the director for the much-anticipated film. The blockbuster action film features Awkwafina, Asian actor Simu Liu, Fala Chen, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Tony Leung.

Marvel Studios Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings is currently playing in theaters.
