The TikTok star confirmed that she has been trying to deal with PMDD symptoms every month for the past seven years, but she wasn't sure what was wrong until she was finally diagnosed, and she is relieved to understand what was going on because she can now finally find ways to deal with her emotions. She stated that there are treatments available, but she is still learning about PMDD.

Dixie D’Amelio assured her fans that she is feeling better now and she will probably be going through the same thing next month and then the month after that as there are treatments to deal with PMDD but no cure.

PMDD is defined by the Mayo Clinic as a severe, sometimes disabling extension of menstrual periods that can cause extreme mood swings that disrupt daily life and harm relationships. PMDD treatments can range from antidepressant medications and pills for birth control to fundamental lifestyle and dietary changes such as increased exercise, more sleep, and restricted consumption of alcohol.

Season two of "The D'Amelio Show" is currently streaming on Hulu, and Dixie revealed to Variety that the first season centered on their mental wellbeing, and she had numerous people come up to her and say her they were so glad that we displayed that on-screen because a lot of it is not depicted on-screen. Dixie went on to say that it's something she deals with every day and that she's going through all these thoughts and feelings, and she wouldn't be true to herself if she didn't share about it.

That is why she shows how she tries to focus on herself and overcome those things, but she just thinks it's cool to look back and think, 'Wow, she has come so far.' Because, even though it's a show and intended to be entertaining, it's still her life and her true emotions, and it's how she sees herself growing up.
