Dwayne Johnson, a former wrestler turned actor is one of Hollywood's most influential performers, having been named the highest-paid actor for the past five years on Forbes' annual list. Dwayne is going to star alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in Netflix's action-thriller film "Red Notice," expressed his gratitude for the "real" affection and support he receives from Bollywood.

"I receive a lot of affection from Bollywood performers, and I appreciate it," the actor said in an interview with Hindustan Times. "I pay attention to what they publish and how they respond. This means a great deal to me. Many times, [because they are] actors, [they are] only pretending, but the love I receive from many performers in India is genuine. Over here, I can feel it. I adore the vibe, and India's affection has been incredible over the years. By the way, when I was wrestling in WWE, I was keeping track of this affection because wrestling is incredibly popular in India", the actor said.

"It's essential because it's (like a) release," the Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) actor explains. The actor explained, "In my films, I enjoy combining humor and action. I get the impression that today's headlines will be tomorrow's punchlines. What is difficult for us today can always be made fun of the next day. My ability to combine humor and action has become a trademark of my work."

"He is a genuinely amusing, clever guy with several layers to his sense of humor," the Jumanji actor said of his Red Notice co-star Ryan Reynolds. "He creates an amazing, enjoyable dynamic between us. We've known each other for a long time. We both began our professional careers in the same year. Furthermore, we've been doing this for 20 years, and our chemistry worked, as you'll see in Red Notice."

During his interview with Vanity Fair, Johnson discussed the findings of a study that showed 46 percent of Americans support Dwayne Johnson for president. The actor said, "I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pickup truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club—but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people."

Johnson and business partner Dany Garcia acquired the XFL in March 2020, and Johnson established the tequila brand 'Teremana', which is on course to smash spirit industry records with close to 300,000 9-liter cases sold in its first year.

Asking about being listed as one of the highest-paid actors, Dwayne said, "It sits me down. That was never the goal. The goal was just: I didn’t want to be broke. And I didn’t want my family to be broke anymore. And it’s a blessing, man. Are you kidding me? It’s a blessing. It’s a blessing. Likewise, it’s a blessing."

The actor took to his social media to clear the air that he is not interested in politics. He stated, "Conversations always swirl when it comes to me running for POTUS one day. The latest poll showed that 46% of Americans would support me running for President. For my Vanity Fair interview, I spent a lot of time with my writer (and tequila drinking buddy:), Chris Heath about my honest feelings regarding this unbelievable support I potentially could have. At the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I care deeply about our country. And I care about every f[–]king American who bleeds red — and that’s all of them. There’s no delusion here. I may have some leadership qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make me a great Presidential candidate. And that’s where I am today. I’m not a politician, so I don’t care what side of the street you live on or what side of the aisle you sit on. Core values matter. Work hard, take care of your family, be kind to people, take pride in your name, take pride in your own two hands, be inclusive and respect everyone and don’t be full of sh–]t. I’m not a politician, but that’s the truth."

In the DC Universe, Dwayne Johnson will play "Black Adam," a superhero. "He is ruthless," he captioned the first look he published on social media. "He can't be stopped. He is the catalyst for a shift in the DC UNIVERSE's power structure. BLACK ADAM is his name. This is the type of endeavor that happens only once in a lifetime. And, truth be told, I was destined to portray Black Adam."

In the DC Comics Universe, Black Adam has been both a criminal and a superhero, although it's unclear from the clip whether he's battling for good or evil. The actor has been preparing for the role for a long time and has put in a lot of effort to physically appear nice on television. "This is the final week of production, and the hard work with my training, diet and conditioning has been relentless - the hardest of my career because I've had to maintain this physical look for months and had to peak in my final week," he explained, "but our collective goal with BLACK ADAM is to raise the bar." To provide you with the antihero you've been longing for and deserving of. The final week of production. The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change. Do not go gentle."

On November 5th, 2021, Red Notice will be released. "An old-school, globe-trotting swashbuckler action-adventure comedy writ gigantic," says Rawson Thurber, who wrote and directed it. "Big action, big laughter, big stars, big twists.

"The reason I feel a connection to The Rock, to Dwayne, is because I see so much of myself in him," says Oprah Winfrey, who is close friends with Johnson. "I see this kind of passion in him for life and improvement... And the reality is, it doesn't matter how many fans he has, how popular he is, or how wealthy he is... I usually claim that my brand is my heart. Isn't his brand his heart and his mana? … You may sit down with your staff and outline what your company's next level of growth will be and what you want to do, but you can't buy people's trust. What he’s sharing with you, no matter what that is—you believe it. Whether you drink tequila or not, you believe that he believes that’s great tequila. Now you want some of that tequila! And that’s his brand—his brand is his truth, and the trust that we have in that truth", Oprah shared with Vanity Fair.
