One of the most hyped superhero films Marvel Studios The Eternals, which serves as the 26th installment in Marvel Cinematic Universe, has finally arrived in theatres to introduce the fans and followers to the brand ten new superheroes who together unite to form the team known as Eternals to protect the universe from powerful evil creatures that are capable of the destroying the world because of the responsibility they were given by MCU’s version of the Gods, Celestials, Ryan Firpo one of the screenwriters who worked on the superhero epic while having a recent conversation with The Direct discloses which one of the characters from the movie was the hardest to adapt in the live-action film from the comics.

“I would say, probably Makkari. I think Makkari was difficult because she had made the choice to essentially go and just hole up in the ship, and just disconnect herself from everything. So she was the least involved character in the present-day storyline because that was her choice that she made… [so she was] a difficult character to just make an active part of the story… We don’t get as much time to get into her psyche and understand where she’s coming from,” Ryan said, explaining how Lauren Riddloff’s Makkari was the hardest to get right in the movie in such less screentime of the movie as there were also nine other characters whose journey also had to be explored.

Ryan adds, elaborating that notwithstanding all the problems around Riddloff’s Makkari that they faced while writing the arc of the character, her character played an important and big part in the overall picture of the film and the actress “did an amazing job in bringing Makkari to life.” “Lauren [Ridloff] just did an amazing job bringing Makkari to life. And in particular, the chemistry that she had with Barry, with Druig, that was something that wasn’t really on the page, and just came out of Barry and Lauren having a great dynamic together, and Chloé being such a great director to recognize that and to bring that out in the final movie.”

Despite all the efforts of the screenwriter Ryan Firpo along with his cousin Kaz Firpo in providing equal screentime to all the characters of the superhero squads in The Eternals, it seems that the duo somehow definitely could have done more as it is something that the fans, as well as film critics, is complaining off along with other critical aspects from the Marvel film.
