The third movie in Phase 4 of Marvel’s "Eternals"  is just a few weeks away and the show's makers are trying to upscale the anticipation levels for the audience who have been waiting for this third movie since the last one ended. It is set to be the second-longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, written and directed by Chloé Zhao. The run time of the movie is about two-and-a-half hours compared to 'Avengers: Endgame', which touched three hours' mark for the duration. During an interview, Chloé stated, "It could be longer! You know, it's ten characters, the Celestials, and 7,000 years. There's a lot going on."

In a new trailer for "Eternals", the audience can witness footage from "Avengers: Endgame", the events of which set the "Eternals" plot in motion. According to Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and producer of "Eternals", the new film is set to not only explore the "Eternals" connection to humanity but also the world they live in and how it came to be.

The movie is set to deal with the aftermath of "Avengers: Endgame", where the Avengers undid Thanos’ snap and left the world to deal with it. Chloé wants the movie to focus on her characters, the overpowered marvels that have fallen in love with humanity and are learning to cope with what has happened to them in this traumatic aftermath. Audiences are set to go on "emotional journeys with these Eternals", she says, "To figure out who they are and what it means to be human."

Eternals’ new trailer sees Richard Madden, who plays Ikaris, state, "Eternals Assemble". The trailer also shows some footage of Avengers: Endgame where the audience can spot Iron Man and Ant-Man, but they’ve had black dust added digitally that swirls around them. The show makers make sure that the curiosity has provided no more information and the anticipation among the audience is kept intact.

Producer Nate Moore said that the movie would have a ripple effect on all Phase 4. Nate quoted, "It'll definitely have an impact in ways that hopefully feel surprising but earned. Obviously, when you deal with characters like Eternals and Celestials and even Deviants, the ripple effect is quite beyond this film. So we have some ideas of how that-- again, that can help be the spine of what Phase 4 gets to be, but we always leave room for invention because other movies inform as we go."

Another detail that is certain from the new trailer is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first LGBTQ+ family. The audience will notice details such as Jack telling his fathers, Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), and his husband (Haaz Sleiman), about watching Ikaris in full superhero mode on television.

Written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals has a huge ensemble cast. It features Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Angelina Jolie as Thena and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman. It is set to be released on November 5th, 2021. In comics, the Eternals’ history dates back to 1976, when they were an evolutionary offshoot of humanity living on Earth who possessed greater powers and had longer lifespans.

How will the Eternals affect the Marvel Universe? We’ll have to wait until the movie comes out in November and experience Phase 4 of the Marvel Universe.
