The Eternals screenwriter Ryan and Kaz Firpo, who have been recently making rounds around the world on social media after they have been continuously making shocking statements since the release of the latest addition, The Eternals in the superhero-based franchise, Marvel Cinematic Universe which has been able to earn the tag of the Hollywood’s most successful and popular franchise in a short span of just 13 years as it started back in 2007 with Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. The Marvel writers now reveals how does the Mad Titans Thanos has a brother Eros, who is one of the Eternals introduced in the epic, keeping in mind that the Gods of MCU, Celestials revealed in the film that Eternals are beings created by them and are not organic to serve a purpose that is to protect the universe from evil creatures like Deviants, which the fans got to see in the movie. The question arises then how could Eros be a brother to the mighty supervillain, Thanos, if the superhero squad Eternals are synthetic beings, or is there something that the fans are missing that Thanos could himself be an Eternal, the duo answers below.

Kaz said to The Direct in a recent interview, teasing that he cannot really answer that if Eros is an Eternal and a brother of Thanos then what happens with the Mad Titan because he doesn’t know whether Thanos, who was wreaking havoc on Avengers in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame is actually an Eternal himself. “I feel like there’s a couple of answers, neither of which we can confirm or deny. Is Thanos not a synthetic being? How do we know? How do we know Thanos is not an Eternal?"

“I would also say that I think that there’s a version where the Eternals that they send to other planets are synthetic beings, but perhaps there was at one time, a planet where organic Eternals lived. Maybe Eros is one of those,” Ryan answered about the same, describing that the ten main immortal beings that the fans enjoyed in the Chloe Zhao’s directed film could be a different version Eternals from others as were sent to earth, noting that there may be a possibility that the immoral beings who are sent to the planet earth are the only synthetic beings.“…[Maybe] the ones that we’re seeing on these other planets, who were sent on these missions, who are essentially put into these loops basically that they keep reliving the same experience over and over, maybe those are synthetic beings that are copies of organic beings somewhere else.”

Kaz concluded, emphasizing that Thanos realizing that he was a synthetic being all along could be something that the studio could look forward to exploring in an episode of the animated series What If…? “Two potential doors for you to step through. I like the idea of… what if we learn that Thanos retroactively was actually frikin’ synthetic all along. These seem like a couple great episodes for What If…? .”
