Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid are no doubt one of the most admired couples in the industry with their crackling chemistry and good looks. The couple started to make headlines in the summer of 2019 when The Sun published a video of the pair together in which Dua was laughing and Anwar was holding his birthday cake. The couple also enjoyed some dates and PDA moments at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival in London during the same time.
In August 2019, Dua and Anwar went to Kosovo to attend a festival together, and that’s when she posted a couple of pictures and Anwar was spotted in the frame too. In September 2019, Dua Lipa joined Anwar Hadid’s family, including Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Yolanda, at his grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands. In the same month, the duo was captured at New York Fashion Week in coordinated outfits. This marked their first official appearance as a couple at the Marc Jacobs show to watch Gigi and Bella walk the runway. Gigi later posted a picture of her brother and Dua on her Instagram Stories with the caption "kk love these 2 so much [sic]", which the singer's rammed' with red love heart emojis.

In November 2019, at the MTV EMAs, Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid were spotted packing some PDA. At the American Music Awards 2019, Anwar Hadid accompanied Dua Lipa on the red carpet, and Dua said to the Entertainment Tonight paparazzi, "My date is my boyfriend." He's so handsome, right? " The Hadid family also showcased their support for their relationship as they commented on their pictures. In December 2019, at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the couple hit the red carpet looking stylish and totally in love. Dua shared several videos of herself that night, including the one where she was kissing Anwar on the cheek.
In March 2020, Anwar and Dua were spotted attending Dua’s parents’ 25th wedding anniversary dinner at The Ivy Asia St Paul’s in London. In April, it was reported that Dua, during an interview with Jessie Ware, shared, "Me and my boyfriend have a flat there, but because I was meant to go on tour at the end of April, we were meant to not carry on our lease. We were meant to go back to New York, but that got obviously cancelled because of the travel ban, so we still have a flat there, but I haven't been in a little while. " Dua further added, "We’re good at doing our own things and then coming together when we want to watch a movie or do a painting, and we go on our one-hour daily walk."
In June 2020, the couple celebrated one year of dating, and Dua shared a series of pictures with Anwar with the caption, "Nothing sweeter than 365 days joint at the hip with you." In July, they adopted a pup named Dexter and became proud parents to a fur baby. Anwar, in March 2021, celebrated Dua Lipa's win at the Grammy Awards along with appreciating her dazzling medley performance on-stage.
In June 2021, Dua wished Anwar a Happy Birthday by sharing a couple of pictures with their puppy and an adorable caption, "You make my world so much better!! " Dua Lipa is very close to Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, as she has shared pictures of her enjoying and having a great time with the sisters on various occasions. In August, the Hadid family wished Dua with lovely wishes, and Anwar wrote, "Happy birthday girl of my dreams, love you forever and always."
A source close to them has revealed that after two blissful and exciting years of dating, the couple’s relationship is going through a rough patch and appears to be on the rocks. The two have been traveling a lot in the past few months as the lockdown restrictions have eased a little. Travelling has proven to be a tough time for their relationship. It’s a little of give and take, trying to find the right balance between being so excited and being in love, and wanting to share that with the people around me, but at the same time not wanting to put too much out there. "
