The Kardashian-Jenner family announced in September 2020, that their successful reality show, ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ would be coming to an end in 2021. But in December 2020 Kris Jenner announced, “Excited to announce our new multiyear partnership with Hulu and Star and what’s to come in 2021.” So if you thought that reality TV stars are staying away from the TV then, you were wrong.

On December 31st, 2021, the Kardashian-Jenner family released a teaser of their new show, which is titled, ‘The Kardashians’. Kris Jenner took to her social media to share the teaser with a caption, “Happy New Year! We’ll see you soon”, and Kim Kardashian added, "Coming Soon".

Khloé Kardashian while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the fall teased the new show and confirmed that the family was filming at that time. She said, “I think in a few months, either end of January, early February…really fast, so that’s the beauty of Hulu. We’re streaming so we get to have a much quicker turnaround than previously. We’re really excited.”

While all the sisters are going to be appearing on the show, the audience might get to see Scott Disick who is almost like a family to the Kardashian-Jenner is going to make his way back along with the possibility of Travis Barker and Kanye West making their appearance too. It was reported that the proposal of Travis Barker to Kourtney Kardashian was also filmed for the show. (Could Pete Davidson make his way into the family show too?)

According to reports, Scott Disick who is an important part of the family since he shares three kids with Kourtney and has been with the family ever since they started off shooting, only agreed to appear on ‘The Kardashians’, if he got paid a lot to do. The strained relationship between Scott, Kourtney, and Travis is not something new for the audience but the details of their relationship could be something to look forward to. It was also reported that the Talentless founder was finding it extremely hard to adjust to the fact that the love of his life is getting married to someone else. A source close to Scott Disick revealed, “The Kardashians adore Scott and tell him he’s part of the family no matter what, but he feels very distant and feels like an outcast more than ever. He avoids family get-togethers that Travis is at, and he has refused to be in the same room with him at times.”

What makes 'The Kardashians' different from Keeping Up With the Kardashians is the fact that the family gets to say over the final edit of the episode that will be airing on Hulu for the audience, something which they did not have control over in their previous reality show. With the power or position to look over the final edit, the Kardashian-Jenner family will only reflect the version of the narrative they want to share with the audience.

Kim Kardashian had previously shared with WSJ Magazine that the new show is going to feature her legal studies and more about her professional life. Kim said, “I think it will be a different side. But I wouldn’t say that our silly sides are not going to come out.” While according to People magazine, Kris Jenner stated, “This is the next chapter. In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family. Fans want us to be who we are, and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show, just like we are. The fans will love seeing us continue the journey. I can’t say much about what’s coming, but spoiler, we’re going to look fabulous and everyone’s going to watch.”

As of now, there is no premiere date set for the show but we’ll update you as soon as we have an update.
