Fantastic Four Actor Jessica Alba Exposes The Harsh Reality Of Hollywood

The Hollywood actress Jessica Alba in an interview revealed the sexism she had to face while starting her entertainment career in hollywood. The Fantastic Four actor exposed the harsh realities of the entertainment industry in an interview she said, "I always wanted to be treated like I saw men being treated".

Men were told,” Oh, you’re really smart, “if you have an idea for a character or story. .., “What? Do you have an opinion?” It seemed like you were offensive, where the person just looked really assertive and powerful. “I think the attitude towards strong women was very oppressive in many ways when it came to women on an equal footing.”

The 40-year-old film star blamed Hollywood for not taking her seriously when she was trying to start her career in the early 2000s. The American actress made her breakthrough after the release of her film Honey in 2003 after which the LA star rose to prominence and established herself as a leading Hollywood actor with films such as Fantastic Four, Good Luck Chuck, The Eye, Valentine's Day, Little Fockers and Mechanic: Resurrection.

With a history of being vocal about her issues, the American celebrity even disclosed one of her worst experiences during the shooting of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. During a shot for a scene of the film the actress was supposed to be nostalgic, Director Tim berated her, saying, "It looks too real, it looks too painful." Tim went so far as telling her, basically, to stop trying to act so much.

Alba added, "He was like, 'Don't do that thing with your face. Just make it flat. We can CGI the tears in.' And then it all got me thinking: Am I not good enough? Are my instincts and my emotions not good enough? Do people hate them so much that they don't want me to be a person? Am I not allowed to be a person in my work? And so I just said, "F**k it. I don't care about this business anymore."

The actress is now best known for her successful wellness brand "The Honest Co."Based on reports from Reuters the brand is estimated to be valued at a whopping $2 billion. However, the actor has failed to find the same level of relevance in the industry as her costars. But her businesses are doing well because of her name and fame.
