Florence Pugh addresses the sheer dress controversy.

The actress Florence Pugh, who appeared in the new winter issue of Vogue magazine, addressed the controversy surrounding her most talked-about outfit, a Valentino sheer pink dress that she wore last July. She stated that as a child, she was always taught not to be self-conscious about her body, and as an adult, she became comfortable with the way she looked.

Florence Pugh stated she has never been nervous about what lies beneath the cloth as long as she is pleased with it, and although she does not wish to offend anyone, she is perplexed as to how her nipples can provoke anyone so much. The famous Valentino pink sheer dress managed to draw everyone's attention, particularly because the actress wore it with self-assurance and elegance, but the viewers weren't delighted.

The Wonder actress said that on social media at that time that she was enthused to wear the attire and wasn't anxious at all, adding that what has been interesting to watch and the person is how convenient it is for men to damage a woman's body openly, confidently, and for everyone to see. She questioned about including their job descriptions and work emails in their bios.

In a post at the time, the actress confidently described the horrific and offensive comments and personal messages she received about the dress, saying that such trolling serves as encouragement rather than a deterrent. Florence went on to say that they need to talk about it, and while she acknowledges that some may scoff at her for saying so, she adds that if a dress with her breasts peeking out is trying to encourage people to say things like, "If she gets raped, it's most likely because she did deserve it," it goes to demonstrate that there is still a lot of remains to be undertaken.

Florence Pugh previously defended her appearance in August 2022, telling Harper's Bazaar that she was comfortable with her small breasts and showing them that way, adding that it did irritate people that she was comfortable in it. She continued that the people were so angry that she was confident with what she was wearing, and they wanted to let her know that they would never wank over her, to which she added, "Don't."

During the latest Vogue interview, Florence Pugh also discussed her relationship with Zach Braff. The former couple was private, however,  did share an Instagram post from Disneyland: a birthday toast. Despite the inconsequential and centered nature of their relationship, they received substantial criticism due to their 21-year age difference—a sour experience that Florence Pugh has carried with her as a disheartening natural consequence of being in the public eye.

They were just not in anybody's faces, she said, and it was simply that people didn't appreciate it because they envisioned her with somebody younger and from a blockbuster movie. Florence believes that young relationships in Hollywood are quickly twisted since they contribute to gossip websites. It's exciting to watch. And she believes she was in a relationship that did none of these things. The couple separated last year but are still on good terms.

Zach Braff's upcoming film, "A Good Person," starring Florence Pugh, will be out in March and is influenced by the experience and feeling of losing individuals during the pandemic, which made him think about just how, as humans, the only thing they understand is to stand up and continue no matter what or how hard things get. The writer-director also asserted that the project was written specifically for the actress and that he believes she is one of the greatest talents of her generation, adding that she is simply magnetic. One cannot take their gaze away from her, and it's not simply her beauty or her acting skills; it's that thing, that mystical thing that transcends the screen, where anyone and everyone goes, they want to see whatever this person does.

Florence Pugh plays Allison, a young pharmaceutical saleswoman on the verge of marriage who is involved in a bad accident that kills two members of her fiancé's family. Opioids are prescribed to assist her to heal, but the medications quickly become a coping mechanism and then a dependency. It's a film about illness and pain, but it is also about family and establishing a home. Florence Pugh is a producer on the film and was involved in the casting, script revision, and trying to write the music that she (as Allison) would perform onscreen.

Scarlett Johansson, Florence's Black Widow co-star, said that Florence is not nervous to sit inside the choices she's decided to make for her characters and that she decides to commit to the concept of a complex and multifaceted individual with all their stubbornness and flaws. It's one of the many features that make her so enticing to watch.
