Florence Pugh is standing by what she said.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar for the September 2022 issue, actress Florence Pugh spoke about her iconic Valentino sheer Barbie-pink gown, which had layers of tulle and she donned during the luxury brand's Fall/Winter 2022 Haute Couture runway show in Rome last month.

Florence Pugh said that she and the designer Pierpaolo Piccioli had decided to remove the lining of the gown, which eliminated the confusion over the intentionality of the gown’s transparency, and while speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, the actress said that she was very comfortable with her small breasts and that showing them in the sheer gown aggravated the people that she was totally comfortable with it.

The actress, who is gearing up for her movie alongside Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine etc., said that the comments she received online after she posted the pictures in her outfit were just alarming how perturbed the trolls were and added that they were so angry that she was okay and confident with her outfit and that the trolls wanted her to know that they would never wank over her and concluded that they should not. She had shared a post on social media calling out the trolls for the same, and many people came to her defense, saying that a woman can wear whatever she wants.

Florence has been a part of great iconic movies, including Little Women, Misdommar, The Falling, etc., along with Black Widow, alongside Scarlett Johansson, who said that what she noticed about Florence initially was how she represents her generation in such an iconic way. Scarlett continued that Florence is really comfortable in her own skin; she is grounded, self-assured, and unapologetically herself. Florence Pugh is described as one of the most versatile and fearless actresses of her generation, and talking about the choices she has made, the actress said that maybe all of her movies have the element of women being forced into a corner, an opinion or into a way of life and eventually something cracks.

Talking about her upcoming movie with Harry Styles, ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, Florence revealed that she was initially offered the role of a supporting character who had killer one-liners, but she was later offered the lead role and the supporting character is now being played by actress-director Olivia Wilde. Florence shared that the swap was an easy decision because she loves playing a distressed woman. The actress also pointed out that even though Harry Styles’ fans tracked every little detail of the movie and when the trailer dropped, the sex scene was the highlight. Florence said that when the work is reduced to just the sex scene or to watching the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why they are making movies, it’s not why she is in the industry.

The actress, however, understands that finalising Harry Styles comes with a package of his fans and people were going to talk about it, but she personally is not a fan of such gossip and said that the movie is bigger and better than just a sex scene and the people involved in making it are bigger and better than that.

During the interview, Florence Pugh also addressed that she and her partner, Zach Braff, whom she started dating in 2019, have made the decision to part ways and stated that they have been attempting to do so secretly because, in their eyes, the relationship only involved them and everyone had an opinion of them from the start. Making the decision to part ways felt like something that would really do them the benefit of preventing millions of people from telling them how happy they are that they are no longer together. They've done that, she said, and every time she talks about it, she gets a knot in her throat. The actress noted that the movie they did together, "A Good Person," which is expected next year, is one of her favorite experiences since it seemed very natural and easy to do for her.

Florence and Zach had a 21-year age gap, the trolls expressed their opinions on it, and she responded by saying that whenever she feels that line has been crossed in her life—whether it's paparazzi capturing private moments or moments that aren't even real—or gossip channels encouraging viewers to share private moments of famous people out and about—she thinks it's incredibly wrong. The actress continued that she doesn't think people should have every element of their lives watched and written about just because they have this job, and added that the actors are not participating in a reality TV program.

Florence further mentioned that working on "A Good Person" made her realize that she is now getting into this groove in her career where she knows what she can take, what she can give, and what she will not accept any more.
