Lili Reinhart opens up about acting on a CW show.

During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast while promoting her new movie, "Look Both Ways," actress Lili Reinhart spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets from Riverdale’s romantic scenes.

Lili Reinhart shared that acting for Look Both Ways was very different from acting on Riverdale because one can only be so much of an adult on a CW show because the actors are not really allowed to kiss with tongue and added that aspects of things are a little different.

The 25-year-old actress mentioned that taking up projects like "Look Both Ways" is going to help her move the needle to the next phase of her acting career and stated that even though she might be known as Betty Cooper from Riverdale, she is going to take up projects and roles where she can explore her acting skills. She added that playing roles that the audience has not seen her in as an adult woman is something that she would like to take up in the future.

Season seven is the finale season for CW’s Riverdale and she has shared previously that the ending of the show definitely feels like an end of an era for her and the entire cast of the show and mentioned that she is sad about it, but she has a lot of dramatic, deep roles are lined up for her in the future to portray on-screen and she is excited for the audience to see her in those.

Lili, who is very vocal about her thoughts and opinions, recently grabbed the attention of the media and audience when she called out Kim Kardashian for losing a significant amount of weight in a relatively short amount of time just to fit into a dress by Marilyn Monroe at the 2022 Met Gala. Without explicitly using Kim Kardashian's name, Lili Reinhart stated at the time on her social media narrative that it is wrong on so many levels to admit to starving oneself to attend the Met Gala so openly and especially, when you are aware that millions of young men and women are watching you and paying attention to everything you say, she said, it makes a difference.

In an interview with Indiewire, the actress explained why she called the reality TV star out on social media. She said she wondered why more people weren't discussing these issues, and she also acknowledged that the moment she posts something on social media, about 30 articles appear with headlines claiming she is criticizing a celebrity. However, Lili insisted that she was merely sharing her opinion, which is very important to her and she was not trying to 'slam a celebrity'.

Lili continued by saying that she sincerely wished that other person would also do that, but she is aware that most people simply join bandwagons because they are all afraid to go against the crowd. The actress claimed that there isn't a handbook or industry manual that instructs you on how to interpret the 20,000 tweets that urge you to commit yourself, have a nose operation, or admit that you're infatuated. She continued by saying that, regardless of the circumstances, one just does not sign up for that, that no one genuinely trains them how to manage it, and that the actors are simply supposed to handle things on their own. The sight of your name rising in popularity is the most horrible thing ever.

Lili said that she goes on rants on social media and she is guilty of that, but added that she does not like to sit idly by and keep her mouth shut and said that she knows that a lot of people think and say that she will never shut up, but the actress said that she won’t because she has a lot to say and no one else seems to be saying anything anymore.

Lili, who has spoken up about her eating disorder and mental health, also discussed these topics during the interview. She claimed that she had undoubtedly reached the point where she felt like she needed treatment, that she was not psychologically OK, and that she wanted could go somewhere. Lili added that, regrettably, many of the services are $90,000 Malibu getaways, and she is not planning to go sit in a recliner and receive therapy for five days and then be like, "Cool! I've improved!"

When discussing disordered eating or fostering harmful behaviors, Lili Reinhart said she feels compelled to intervene. She wished there were greater services for mental health in the sense that individuals needed to be treated more seriously when they were hurting. She thinks at the moment that the other person discussing the harmful behaviors is injuring and triggering her, which implies that they must be triggering millions of other people who are listening to what they have to say. This is why she feels the need to intervene. Lili claimed that it only affects her in hot water, but she assumed that she preferred being in hot water to just being someone who does not stand up for something she believes in.

Lili Reinhart's 'Look Both Ways' is streaming now on Netflix.
