George Clooney Says He won't Be Appearing In 'The Flash'

Batman and The Robin actor George Clooney says that he won't be appearing in the upcoming superhero film The Flash, which is set to release in the theatres on 4th November 2022. The actor made these statements while making an appearance at an interview with Variety.

He said, "They didn’t ask me." Clooney subsequently followed this up by quipping, "When you destroy a franchise the way I did, usually they look the other way when The Flash comes by." Clooney's wife Amal claimed, "He won’t let me watch it." In response to this, Clooney joked, "There are certain films I just go, 'I want my wife to have some respect for me."

The two time Academy Award winner George Clooney was featured in the role of Batman, also known as Bruce Wayne in 1997's superhero film Batman & Robin along with Val Kilmer, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Victor Fries / Mr. Freeze, and Chris O'Donnell reprising his role as Dick Grayson / Robin, alongside Uma Thurman, Alicia Silverstone, Michael Gough, Pat Hingle, and Elle Macpherson.

The film was directed by filmmaker and screenwriter Joel Schumacher and was written by Akiva Goldsman. It was a follow-up to the 1995's Batman Forever and the fourth installment in the Batman franchise.

Clooney's comments on his role in The Flash film come off as recently, actor Ben Affleck who was also supposed to return in the role of Caped Crusader in The Flash film, after reports emerged confirming his appearance also revealed some details regarding his role in the movie.

"It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience had been difficult. This was really lovely. Really fun," Affleck told Variety. "I had a great time. I’m probably under some gag order that I’m not even aware that I probably just violated and I’m now going to be sued.”.

Affleck was also recently seen praising the 60-year-old director and actor George Clooney. The Justice League actor went on to say that Clooney out of everyone is his favorite to work with as he really enjoys working with him.

He said, "He's just so good and so smart and creates a great environment. We had a great experience working together previously, he produced Argo [with me]. He just has so much experience doing his thing, doing this job, and it's like, such a gift because it cuts through all the noise and gets right to the x, y, z. Bing, bang, boom. He is the best, most precise director I've ever worked with.”

Based on the DC Comics The Flash film, directed by Andy Muschietti with the production by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti, features Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen also known as The Flash, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne also known as Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel.

Verdú as Nora Allen, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen Livingston, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field.

The superhero film is set to play a huge role in the DCEU (Detective Comics Extended Universe).
