From releasing her new single “Easy on Me”, to feature on the November Vogue Issue, Adele is not only having the time of her life but also has been very busy promoting the upcoming album for which her fans have to wait for six years.

Adele was recently featured in the 73 Questions with Vogue video with host Joe Sabia the singer looked gorgeous and mentioned how Covid-19 has gotten her in touch with her homebody side. The singer mentioned that she is excited to put the album out for the fans to hear. She lives in a neighborhood that is filled with Hollywood’s biggest stars but Adele’s “very English countryside”  inspired house makes it clear that she is connected to her roots and will always keep it close.

“Easy on Me” singer mentioned that she is ready to go on tour, but it is all up to Covid and advised everyone to keep wearing masks and not spread the virus. The singer shared that when she started gigging, Madame Jojo’s has been her favorite spot to play her music. Adele shared that when she was making her first album “19”, she realized that she loves working in a studio environment which and later on asked who was more scared during her first TV appearance to which she replied, “Without a doubt, it was Sir Paul McCartney. And at the end of the show that I did my first-ever singing performance as he sang ‘Hate You’.”

On asking about how did she handle being recognized in public, Adele shared that she does not love it but ever since 21 sorts of came out, her hair gets longer, her makeup gets thicker and her dresses get bigger so that she can practically look like a Bald Eagle or something like that in day-to-day life. The singer was asked if people could understand other people based on the books they keep, to which she replied that probably, but she does not know many people who have real books in their house anymore.

Talking about ‘21’, Adele was asked, “What did your diaries throughout the songwriting process look like then?” “Hello”, the singer described her diaries as “drunk, chaotic, stress, very very sad.” She added that all of those diaries are hidden in a purse somewhere in her wardrobe in London. Adele shared that “Don’t you remember”, is one of the songs that she found hard to record because it starts super-duper tender and soft which she is not brilliant at, and by the end she is wailing which is her comfort zone.

Joe asked Adele about her throat surgery which she had in 2011 to repair a hemorrhaged vocal cord, and John Mayer who also had a throat-related surgery offered the singer some helpful advice which she shared, “He was just sort of very encouraging to stay silent and be patient. Actually, my injury was a very common singer's injury. So, he said not to worry too much about it. He was great. He's such a sweetheart. I like him so much." The singer was asked to describe the difference in her voice pre-and post-procedure to which she replied, “It was definitely heading towards a Tom waits sound I have before my surgery getting very, very, Husky. And also it was a brand-new voice and it was so clean and pure.”

The singer was asked by the host that will she ever release the alternate version of 21 to which Adele shut down by saying that if she wanted to do that, she would have done that by now. According to the singer, her iconic fashion moment was Armani's moment in 2012 at the Grammys and Cate Blanchett is her fashion icon and revealed that she never leaves the house without her hoop earrings. Pat McGrath gets Adele’s iconic eyeliner right and on asking for styling advice, Adele told Joe to keep doing what you’re doing, comfort over style.

Talking about her third album, “25”, which Adele had mentioned was the hardest thing she has ever done but mentioned that “Remedy” was the easiest song on the album. Adele adds, “I think it’s pretty clear that it is about my son.” Asked about what was the valuable thing that Adele has learned from producer Max Martin, the singer said, “All about the hooks.”

Host Joe Sabia asked Adele about the working situations with 19, 21, and 25 to which she replied, “19 only had like four songs, so that’s actually really write an album. 21, I couldn’t stop writing it. It was just pouring out of me, and I was such a hot mess. 25, I just didn’t have time to write really, so I just had a newborn baby, so not much.” She was asked which venue was the most intimidating or terrifying to perform to which she shared that it was at the “ANZ Stadium” in Sydney, it was some inner-city like a hundred thousand people. Adele loves to play her music in London and has not managed to find a cure for stage fright.

Adele shared that a middle-aged woman, drank too much, passed out, and then piss herself is the weirdest thing someone has ever done at one of her shows, and it was in Vegas. She was asked if she cries to any of her songs, to which she revealed that she does cry right now to her quite a few new ones. “What advice would you give to your 19-year-old self.?” Was asked to Adele to which she replied, “That your love life’s going to get a lot worse.” And for someone who is just starting in the music industry, Adele replied, "Keep your heart safe and your music dangerous."

The singer shares a son Angelo James, nine, with ex-husband Simon and was asked how becoming a mom changed her songwriting? Adele replied, “I don’t have much time to do anymore". Questions shifted to Adele’s mom and sharing about the best advice she gave the singer for parenting was “to chill out and stop being so regiment with a routine.” Adele also mentioned that her favorite memory of her mother was when she moved back in with her when she was 21 and was falling apart, and she lovingly put her back together.

Joe asked the Grammy winner, “Why was it important for you to support victims of the Grenfell tower fire? And she replied, “I just felt like I had to. It was right around the corner from where my house is in London, and it was you know it overtook the United Kingdom. We couldn’t believe that there was a building like that in the middle of central London that had burnt down. And I just want it to be the safe and consistent person for them which I hope I was.”  Adele believes that her friends would describe her as “loyal”.

Asked to rank her top three songs, Adele mentioned that she is going to mix hers and fans' favorite songs and named 'Someone Like You', number one, followed by a new song we haven't heard yet, and 'When We Were Young' rounded out her podium. She added that she loves that song, and it means a lot to her. As a fan of Beyoncé, Adele was asked to list her favorite albums by Queen Bee and she stated that her choices might be considered “controversial,” but replied, “My personal favorites — my first one is Sasha Fierce, that sublime double album. The second one would be Lemonade. The third one is a bit of a toss-up between two, but, I’m going to go with my gut and my heart. I’m going to say B’Day.”

Adele addressed her unforgettable Grammy moment in 2017 when she broke her award for best album into two pieces for fellow nominee Beyoncé. “I was just so uncomfortable and nervous up on the stage, trying to give that speech right in front of her,” she recalled. “I just sort of twist it off and [it] fell off in my hand. It felt like fate.” Joe shared that David Attenborough has narrated her ‘Hello’ music video, which she described as “‘incredible’ It was live on radio, He was just sort of had to watch the video and read the lyrics, his script, and stuff like that. He’s like everything in the UK like we love him so much, and he’s my mom’s hero".

Adele rarely reads about what people write about her and on asking about what is the most ridiculous rumor she has ever heard about her, she said all the crazy rumors about her love life since she has been single and stuff like that statement that none of those were true. Joe asked, “Do you think there was ever a time that you felt like you couldn’t be yourself?” which she replies, “No I’ve been very very lucky with that.”

The interview continues with Joe asking Adele about her proudest possession, Adele led the camera to her piece of prized memorabilia. "It's pretty amazing," she said as she handed over a picture frame containing a piece of gum chewed by one of Adele's heroes, Celine Dion. "James Corden, who's a friend of mine, but also does 'Carpool Karaoke,' which I did, he did it with her and knew how much a fan of her I was," she explained. "So he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper, and he framed it for me!" Also, on Celine Dion, Adele said 'My Heart Will Go On was the song that wasn't her own that she's sung the most in her life.

On asking about what is something different in the upcoming album compared to others, to which she replied, “It’s my most personal one yet. I think. During her pregnancy, Adele recorded the theme song for the James Bond film Skyfall". She shared, “It’s the only song that I recorded while I was pregnant with him. So my voice was a lot lower, and he also hated it when I was singing the high notes. He’d sort of kick around inside me.” She added that she would like to see Jonathan Majors as the next Bond, but if an American is not allowed to play the iconic role, then Idris Elba should be chosen.

Adele shared that she has been binge-watching ‘Ted Lasso’ which she shared is great, and it’s very British. The “Easy on Me” singer shared that leaving her marriage was the biggest risk she has ever taken. Adele and Simon began dating in 2011 and were initially believed to have married in 2016, with the singer referring to him as her ‘husband’ in awards acceptance speeches the following year.

However, in her Vogue spread, the Oscar winner revealed that they didn’t tie the knot until 2018, and announced their divorce shortly after. The Rolling In The Deep star didn’t say how long her marriage lasted but said, "I’m not going to go into that detail, remember I am embarrassed. This is very embarrassing. It wasn’t very long.’ Despite their split, they appear to have remained on great terms for Angelo, with Simon living across the street in LA. She shared that she aspired to be an English teacher before all this happened. As for her dream duet partner? "Chris Stapleton," she said.

Adele's new single "Easy on Me" has received 3,290 plays on Top 40 stations, 1,488 on Hot AC stations, 1,112 on AC stations, 98 on R&B stations, and 91 on AAA stations. The audience was ecstatic to share their reactions to her song as soon as it was released. The song, she told Vogue UK, is an explanation to Angelo for why and how she arrived at key divorce decisions. "I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, who I am and why I willfully chose to wreck his entire life in the quest of my own pleasure when he's in his twenties or thirties," she added in the UK interview.

She mentioned that her best lyrics will be included in her future album, and her admirers are impatiently anticipating it. Adele is a virtuoso at tugging at our heartstrings with her music, so her new album is likely to be just as intriguing. And now that she's had many years of motherhood under her belt, the chances of parents being impacted by the new songs are considerably higher. Her new album will be released on 19th November 2021.
