Andre Leon Talley, the fashion legend who is famous for being the creative director of Vogue and also a judge on America's Next Top Model, passed away on Wednesday, January 19. The fashion and Hollywood industry has come together to pay their tributes to the icon and share how he left a lasting impact on their lives. The star was 73.

Celebrity stylist Brad Goreski shared a post on Instagram where Andre is seen wearing a bright red puffy coat. The stylist wrote, “André Leon Talley was a big inspiration for me to want to work in fashion. So sad to hear about his passing. RIP ALT.”

Holly Robinson Peete posted a tribute for the creative director by sharing a photo collage featuring Andre Leon Talley. Remembering the impact on fashion the legend had, Holly chose some of the best fashion moments of the late celebrity and captioned her tweet; “Rest In Peace André Leon Talley. What a mark you made 😞 🌹.”

Andy Cohen 

Andy Cohen, the host on Bravo TV, paid a tribute to the dead star as he shared the news on his show Watch What Happens Life. The star posted the video of the news and shared the caption through a Twitter post: "Just riffing here about Andre… he was an incredible person who lived an incredible, groundbreaking life. Highly recommend his book THE CHIFFON TRENCHES." 

David Alan Grier

David Alan Grier shared a picture of Andre Leon Talley in a fluffy white robe against a minimal grey backdrop. The actor and comedian wrote in his tweet, “Rest In Peace Andre Leon Talley.”

The singer shared another of the best pictures of the fashion icon. This time, the late fashion star stood by a Chinese dragon bridge near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The celebrity was, of course, looking his very best in the picture. Just like many other stars, the songwriter Deborah Cox shared a simple caption, “Rest In Peace Andre Leon Talley.”

Tom and Lorenzo, the duo who are known for their ethereal fashion creations, chose to post the same picture of Andre Leon Talley. They captioned their tweet crowning Talley as the 'King of American Style.' The full caption read, “Goodbye to André Leon Talley, the King of American Style. We won’t see his like again.”

Vanessa Friedman

“Farewell Andre Leon Talley. A towering figure, in every sense,” wrote Vanessa Friedman in her tweet for the fashion icon. Friedman is the New York Times editor.

He was a legendary figure in fashion and a walking encyclopedia of knowledge.” She continued, “Beyond the larger than life persona, I knew him personally as a sweet and genuinely kind human being," before adding their last conversation with each other. “His final departing words to me were ‘Nothing matters in this world but family and love, and you have IT.'”

Apart from paying her tributes to Andre Leon Talley, the actress Octavia Spencer also shared condolences for the friends and family of the star who passed away yesterday on January 18. “I am sad to hear of Andre Leon Talley’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones,” shared the actress on her Twitter account.

"We are saddened to hear of the passing of Andre Leon Talley," wrote Mackie on his official Instagram account. "Thank you for your knowledge and passion for fashion and glamour. You will be missed."

The star shared how the demise of the fashion icon was a bit too soon. "Oh, Andre! Heaven is not ready for you darling!!!!!! The whole afterlife is going to be just too fabulous now. Ugh! Harvey Fierstein quoted The Daily Beast news stating that Andre had passed away and shared her tribute. She wrote, "Andre Leon Talley, Vogue Editor, and Fashion Legend, Dies at 73 – The Daily Beast…. A truly original heart, spirit, and mind. He cast a giant shadow and will not soon be forgotten. What’s loss."

The celebrity is shocked to have heard such a piece of heartbreaking news about the passing away of the legendary fashion enthusiast. Milla Jovovich began her Instagram post by saying, “I can’t believe what a force of nature has left us today. Andre Leon Talley was such an incredible artist, but he was also one of the most genuinely wonderful humans I’ve ever met.” 

She continued that he was "Always there with the most beautiful smile and open arms, he was so sweet and kind, always so gracious, and I imagine the term “fierce” was coined after meeting him." “I feel so lucky to have been embraced in his warm glow so many times in my career because good people are few and far between in this business, and you’re much more likely to meet a scowl when going places than his ever present, all encompassing loveliness.
