Liam Payne backtracks his comments on Zayn after receiving backlash from the fans.

Liam Payne, who appeared on Logan Paul’s "ImPaulsive" podcast show, spoke about how Gigi Hadid had tweeted in favor of her then-boyfriend Zayn and called him a "respectable king" and Logan Paul’s brother Jake Paul 'irrelevant' after the two of them were involved in some social media spat and Liam said that tweet did not age well, referring to the incident involving Zayn and Yolanda Hadid.

Liam Payne further in the interview dwelled upon Zayn’s upbringing and hinted how his parents were not that supportive of his career and said that there are various reasons why he does not like Zayn, but there are various reasons why he would always support him. However, Liam added that people need to understand what Zayn's been through.

He said that he might not agree with any of his recent actions and can't commend some of the things that he's done and also that he can't be on his side for that. But added that what he can say is that he understands where is he coming from and his only hope is that at some point in his life, Zayn would want to receive or accept the help people have been trying to give to him.

The audience did not like how Liam Payne went on Logan Paul’s show and bad-mouthed his former bandmate, whom he once called his brother, along with the band, and the singer went on to receive massive backlash from the fans and Directioners. He also mentioned an incident where he got in an altercation with one of the members but he chose not to name who it was.

Looking at the number of tweets and comments that were against him, Liam Payne took to his Twitter account to backtrack those comments by stating that he would not normally comment on something like this, but when it comes to family, it’s hard to let it go. Liam Payne continued that Logan Paul and the co-host had mentioned a specific incident involving Zayn to which he had responded, but added that after listening to what he said on the show, Liam said that he did not articulate himself as well as he could have.

The singer, who recently fired up the tabloids after a sudden breakup with fiancé Maya Henry, said that what he was saying was that there will always be something that Zayn and he will disagree on, but added that he will always, always be on his side. That is family, Liam said, before adding that Zayn is his brother and he will stand by him forever. Some fans pointed out that they are very disappointed by how he said things about one of the greatest opportunity of his life. 

During the interview, Liam Payne revealed that Simon Cowell had promised after he was eliminated from the X Factor auditions that if he came back to the show, he would make it work for him and Liam Payne added that it is a part of the reason why One Direction was formed.

Liam dwelled more about it and said that Simon Cowell started with his face and then worked around the rest he has never mentioned this story before and also admitted that he was 'leading the band' while Louis Tomlinson was deciding on the scenes for the band. Liam said that Louis made all the right choices that he would not have made and it was him leading the band from the front stage and making sure that everybody is in the right position and stuff while Louis was making decisions like what songs they will be singing. Liam added that Louis Tomlinson knew what they should be, and he knew what he wanted to identify as, and, you know, that's why he's out and touring at the moment as well, so hats off to him.

After all the drama, Niall Horan was labeled as the unproblematic king by the fans after he shared just four words following the Liam Payne drama, as he shared a couple of pictures and wrote, "Always in Deep Thought." Some people also mentioned that after listening to Liam Payne, it was so much better for them to follow their solo careers and not be in the band and also why the fans should stop expecting a reunion because that is not happening. Zayn has not yet commented on the situation, but on Wednesday he announced his limited-edition merchandise, ‘PAYNT by ZAYN’.
