How did the Walking Dead actor Moses J. Moseley die?

Walking Dead actor, Moses J. Moseley died at the age of 31 earlier this year.

His manager shared in an emotional statement, saying that Moseley was loved by all the people he met. He shone like a bright light for all the people he knew. 

The manager continued with his eulogy for the late actor, sharing that he was an amazing person, and he made it a point to brighten up anyone's day whom he met. The actor was immensely talented and very good with his friends.

His manager shared that his friends could call him anytime for help. Not only did Moseley enjoy living his life but was also very happy and content with working in the entertainment business. 

Unfortunately, the actor was discovered dead in Stockbridge, Georgia, on Wednesday, January 30, 2022. TMZ was the first media outlet to report the news. The cause of the death was unknown at the time. 

Stockbridge police did not immediately reveal the nature of the death. 

The actor is famously known for his role in The Walking Dead. He played Mike in the series, one of the pet zombies of Michonne, played by Danai Gurira. He worked on the series from 2012 to 2015. 

AMC also issued a tribute for the actor following his death on the following Monday. Their social media post for the late actor included prayers and thoughts for the TWD crew and the family of Moses J. Moseley. 

Avery Sisters Entertainment, Moses's acting agency, also shared their condolences after the actor's death. They offered their tribute, paying respect to the actor and offering comfort to his family and friends. They shared that they were very saddened after hearing the news, and his loss was a hard one. 

Moses was known to be a great actor, who excelled at his skill. Apart from his famous role in The Walking Dead, the actor also starred in Queen of the South and Watchmen. Beyond the phenomenal prowess of his career, he was a kind, sweet and generous person. 

Avery Sisters Entertainment wished for Moses to rest in Heaven, where he would continue to shine bright as he did in his life. The sweet tribute was posted by Gerra Avery and Demia Avery from Avery Sisters Entertainment. 

The other works Moses starred in apart from The Walking Dead included Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies, the 2017 film. He also worked in Joyful Noise, The Internship, Queen of the South, Watchmen, and Blood Scroll: Horror Stories.

Now, months later after the actor's death, the cause of his death has been finally revealed. It was made public the endearing actor from The Walking Dead had passed away from a gunshot to the head. 

The official death certificate was obtained by TMZ and later viewed by other media outlets. Yet, there is no clarity about how the gunshot wound came by. The investigation is still underway, with the police trying to determine if his death was by accident or if it were a suicide. 

As of now, the manner of his death has been still labeled as "undetermined" despite the gaping wound found on his head. However, the actor's autopsy has managed to reveal some answers about the cause being not yet identified. The confirmed gunshot is not being investigated as a murder. 

The only two rulings that arose from the confirmation of the gunshot by The Henry County, Georgia, Coroner's report have marked an accident or a purposeful blow where he killed himself. 

The examining doctor presiding over the case, Rachel Geller, shared that at the time, there is no official report behind the intent of the death. All the details yet gathered do not strictly point towards suicide by the actor. 

The investigation has now almost reached a standstill. The Dr. has shared that the manner of death is still being kept vague, more information is required. The case will be revisited once they gather more evidence.

The doctors also ran tests on Moseley to see if he was in good health, and whether there were any drugs or intoxicants running in his blood. The reports for the health checkup showed that he was healthy before his death and that there were no drugs or liquor in Moses's system.
