If the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel fans miss anyone, it is the late Stan Lee, an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. The comic book writer would have turned 99 years old on December 28th, 2021, and even though he is not physically here to celebrate his birthday, fans and actors surely remember him for all of his works.

Actor Mark Ruffalo took to his Twitter account to remember Stan Lee and wrote, "Thinking of Stan Lee and everything he’s done for our extended Marvel family today." Ryan Reynolds also took to his social media to share a couple of pictures from the sets of Deadpool with Stan Lee.

Stan Lee’s Twitter page also posted pictures of the late comic book writer with the caption, "Today, Stan would have turned 99. The colorful characters and thrilling tales he created captivate and entertain fans and will do so for generations to come. To celebrate his birthday, share your favorite Stan story, sighting, cameo, or comic book with us, and we'll retweet a few. "

In a video shared by Entertainment Weekly, the original six Avengers, including Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner, shared their fondest memories of meeting the late writer.

Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Universe, shared, "Playing Hulk is like my generation’s Hamlet. We’re all going to get a chance to do it, and so it’s been, you know. And I was really nervous about whether I would please him. And I didn't meet him until the Avengers premiere, when I walked up to him sheepishly, and he saw me and said, "You got it, kid." And I was like, "Aw, that’s amazing." Thank you, Mr. Lee, but I was worried about Downey and Kevin, that he wouldn't be pleased with what I'd done. "

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark, or Iron Man, shared, "My mind goes to the Civil War. Rhodey and Tony were having a moment at the end, and he’s like a UPS guy or FedEx guy, and so he was outside the glass, and it was just like, you know, It’s like all of us. He’s a really big deal, but he’s just another schmuck, so we have to get his coverage in the can too. And like, and roll sound, he’s like, "I have a delivery for Tony Stank. And they’re like, "Great, and it like went completely downhill after that, and I was like, "Not only was that my memory of him through the glass, but I am exactly like him." It all goes downhill after one take. You have to capture it before I tire. "

Scarlett Johansson, who plays Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, shared, "I also had a similar moment with Mark when I saw him. I think it was after the Iron Man 2 premiere, and I didn’t know how the audience or anybody would react to this believing character of my interpretation of her. especially because I wasn’t originally cast. So I also had a lot of feelings about that, but yeah, I had a lot of feelings about seeing him in the theater. He was very excited, and I was, of course, like I had a big sigh of relief after that. You know, he was so happy that he got to see the character onscreen, and it was pretty cool. "

Chris Evans, who plays Steve Rogers/Captain America, shared, "The first time I met him was in 2004 when I was doing Johnny Storm. The day that he was on set, we actually happened to have a b-roll crew on set that day for whatever reason. The first time of my interactions with him was caught up on a b-roll, and I’ve found the footage and at the time, he was, you know, very early in my career, and it was the biggest role I’d ever done and to meet someone like him was so overwhelming for me. He was, you know, the true Stand Lee format; so full of life and just so kind and gregarious, and he made me just feel at home. And yeah, we have the entire exchange on film somewhere and it just..."

Jeremy Renner, who plays Clint Barton/Hawkeye, shared, "Yeah, I have a lot of experience with him. I aspire to be as strong-minded. The guy has lived an amazing life, and he still always sticks with me because I spent a lot of time with him more recently, and you know, when you’re so full of life, right, and when you spend time with him, you just know that this guy is just burning a fire of life. He’s got a great sense of humor and a smart mind, and I hope and aspire to be half of what he is as a man. It’s really fantastic, and I really enjoyed my time with him. "

Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, shared, "Just the sort of childlike wonder and attitude and enthusiasm, you know, every time he’d come on the set with all of these stories you’d heard of him coming on, you know, you’d want to talk about something more like what it all means and so on, and it was just like "no, I’m just telling stories, and we’re having fun, and it’s entertainment and yeah, there’s a deeper meaning and message, so on which he achieved so beautifully." The childlike nature about him, I thought, "Oh wow, good, we can all stay big kids forever, and he’s the perfect example."
