Amanda Bynes is now a free woman!

Actress Amanda Bynes is sharing her thoughts and feelings after Judge Roger L. Lund ruled in favor of terminating her nine-year-long conservatorship on Tuesday. Amanda’s lawyer, David A. Esquibias, said in a statement that the actress has expressed her gratitude towards everyone who supported her throughout.

Amanda, in a statement shared by her attorney, said that she would like to thank her fans for their love and support, her parents for always being there for her, her lawyer, and everyone who stood by her throughout her journey, especially the last nine years.

The actress added that she has been working hard to improve her health so that she can live and work freely and is going to continue to prioritize her well-being in this new phase of her life as a free woman. She added that she is excited about the new adventures that are on their way for her, including her fragrance line, and is looking forward to sharing her journey with her fans.

Judge Roger L. Lund congratulated and wished Amanda Bynes good luck for her life ahead as she will be incharge of her decisions now. She was not present at the courthouse when the decision was announced by the judge, who said that the conservatorship was no longer needed or required and praised Amanda Bynes for following the rules and regulations as the court asked her to.

Amanda Bynes’ mother, Lynn, was granted temporary conservatorship of her daughter in 2013 after the actress raised questions about her behavior, and later, in 2014, Lynn gained full conservatorship of Amanda. The actress’ challenges with substance abuse had led to her erratic behavior and multiple arrests, which raised questions and the court decided to put her mother in charge.

When Amanda Bynes filed a request to end her conservatorship last month, her mother supported her and said that she has worked on herself a lot and has improved, and she truly supports Amanda’s choice of getting her conservatorship terminated. Lynn’s attorney, Tamar Arminak, shared that Amanda’s mother is extremely proud of her for making such impressive progress and is now looking forward to spending time with her outside of the conservatorship.

Amanda Bynes, who was once a huge name in the industry, had stayed away from the spotlight for years, and while she stayed away, she studied and earned a degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and focused on being sober. She had been taking steps to become independent as she moved to a rental space in L.A. with her fiancé, Paul Michael.

Amanda Bynes' former co-star, Josh Peck, also shared his thoughts when Amanda filed a request to end her conservatorship. He said that the two of them have stayed friends and they see each other here and there, and he wants her to focus on doing what makes her happy, and if that means that she would like to return to acting, then the industry is going to accept her with open arms. Josh added that she is not only her fan as a performer but as a person too.
