Colton Underwood has found love and is ready to take it a step ahead!
According to reports and social media, The Bachelor alum, Colton Underwood is engaged to the political strategist Jordan C. Brown and soon the two will be heading down the aisle.
Colton Underwood shared the wonderful news with People Magazine where he shared that after his birthday, Jordan and he went to Big Sur for some much-needed weekend getaway and that’s where the proposal happened. He added, "I couldn't have pictured a more beautiful place to celebrate an amazing milestone in my life and relationship."
Colton Underwood looked in high spirits while sharing the news with the publication and mentioned that he is extremely happy adding that year 2021 was the most transformative year for him and 2022 started off with him uniting with his teammate who is now his fiancé, something that he never thought would ever be possible for him.
The couple shared their happy news on their respective social media accounts on Monday and Colton wrote, "Life is going to be fun with you.” While Jordan wrote, "The only time in my life I'm ok with wasting a bottle of champagne. I love you babe.” The couple has been seeing each other since the summer of 2021 and couldn’t be happier with their engagement.
Colton’s fellow Bachelor Nation friends are excited for their friend and they showcased their happiness by commenting on his post. Wells Adam wrote, “You’ve come a long way since our chats at the bar. I'm so happy for your happiness!" Chris Harrison who hosted The Bachelor wrote in his post, "Congratulations! Love and support you my friend." Eboni K. Williams who is going to appear alongside Colton Underwood and Sweetin in an upcoming reality show, ‘Beyond the Edge’ wrote, “Congratulations Love!!”.
Colton Underwood came out as gay in April 2021 during his interview with Good Morning America and had also documented his entire experience of coming out and how he dealt with things around him for Netflix’s ‘Coming Out Colton’.
He spoke about finding love in Jordan C. Brown, with People in December where he shared, "I wasn't really pursuing dating at first. But since then I found somebody and I am very much in love. I was struggling with my sexuality but I had such a level of fear over being gay. Now that I've been out to myself for a year, it's the healthiest and happiest I've ever felt. And there is nothing I would ever want to be but gay." Colton went ahead to call his partner now fiancé a great supporter for him and called himself the luckiest person to have Jordan in his life.
Colton Underwood appeared on The Bachelor season, which premiered in 2019, and was previously in a relationship with Cassie Randolph who eventually won that season. Their relationship ended in May 2020 and it was reported that Cassie had been granted restraining orders against ex-boyfriend Colton Underwood after she filed court documents accusing The Bachelor alum of stalking her. Cassie reported that Colton Underwood put up a tracking device in her car to track her moves and had appeared at her and her parents’ homes.
The former Bachelor winner decided to drop the restraining order and during his coming out interview with Good Morning America, Colton Underwood apologized to Cassie Randolph for the chaos. Colton Underwood also spoke to US Weekly in December 2021 and shared his thoughts on why he liked to keep his romance off the public’s eye, “I have been through that. I have done that. Even going into the show, that was one of the conversations with the production company. … I’m not in a space right now to really, like, put myself out there like that. I had a lot of self-discovery to do. Having a public relationship, for me, was not healthy. I just think right now I’m really sort of protecting and guarding what I have.”
