Comedian-actor Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, which the Orange County confirmed’s Sheriff and the family in a statement.
The Sheriff’s statement read on January 9th, 2021, "Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case." The authorities confirmed on Monday that Bob Saget’s autopsy report was completed and there has been no evidence of foul play or drug use and the cops suspect that the comedian might have ‘suffered a heart attack or stroke’. The authorities are further examining if there was any presence of Delta or Omicron virus in his system that could have caused his death.
The family’s statement read, "We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world."
A source close to Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget’s widow has revealed that he had spoken to her ‘in the early morning hours on Sunday’ after his Saturday stand-up show which was hosted near Jacksonville, Florida. The source added, “Bob Saget was so excited coming off of a great show and he sounded really happy. He was scheduled to fly home the next day.”
When Kelly Rizzo did not hear from him the next day, she called up the hotel and security to check upon him, and thus he was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando.
Further talking about Kelly Rizzo, the source said, "Kelly is completely devastated. Bob was her best friend and the love of her life. They were so happy together and so happy that they found each other. They had the best marriage and they connected on such a deep level. She doesn't know how to go on without him." The couple had met through a mutual friend in 2015 and tied the knot in 2018 in Santa Monica, California at the luxury hotel 'Shutters on the Beach' with actor Jonathan Silverman, officiating the ceremony.

Bob Saget was previously married to screenwriter and former attorney Sherri Kramer with whom he shared three daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer. In a video last February, Kelly Rizzo shared that Bob Saget slid into her DMs in 2015 and said, “I think Bob was looking for a good Midwestern gal, a Chicago gal, like myself. So he saw my Instagram and he’s like, ‘Oh, it’s not all selfies and bikinis like she actually does stuff. She has this food show and travel show. She seems interesting.” Bob Saget himself shared a video joking about his wife as he said, “When you meet a beautiful food influencer in your DMs and you marry her … and now I can’t use my kitchen.”
Source shared that Kelly Rizzo is having a real hard time accepting that the love of her life is no more and is trying to process everything.
The source that is close to Kelly Rizzo shared with the publication, "Kelly and Bob had the same sense of humor. He was so supportive of her company, Eat Travel Rock, and when she did cooking videos, he was often her producer, filming her or doing funny voiceovers. They laughed all the time. Bob's favorite dish that Kelly made was her Italian chili. They loved to travel (and eat!) but they were also homebodies who loved to stay in together at their home in L.A."
On Monday, Kelly Rizzo finally addressed the passing away of her love and said in a statement, "My whole heart. Bob was my absolute everything. I am so completely shattered and in disbelief. I am so deeply touched by the outpouring of love and tribute from our friends, family, his fans and his peers. When the time is right and when this news is not as raw, I look forward to sharing more of Bob with the world. Sharing how much he meant to me, all of those around him, and how much all of his fans and friends meant to him as well. Thank you for respecting my privacy at this time."
Kelly Rizzo also commented on singer John Mayer’s tribute on his Instagram as John wrote, "I love you, Bob. I will never forget you. I will visit you often in my memories, and I hope I get to see you in my dreams. I will tell my kids about you. I'm taking you with me forever." Kelly Rizzo commented on the post, "No words for how much he loved you. Thank you dear friend."
A lot of close friends of Bob Saget including John Stamos, Candace Cameron-Bure, John Mayer, Jeff Ross, Jeff Franklin showed up at his house to pay their respects to his family.
