Michael Keaton features in a really great cameo in Daniel Espinosa's latest film Morbius. The movie also features Matt Smith dancing, while he is shirtless and a vampire who lives a long life.

Morbius waited for a long time before it could get the green signal to be premiered on the screens. It was previously hindered by the COVID pandemic and then had to shift its release date to over two years later.

However, the character Morbius has lived on the screens in other productions. The vampire was first featured in Living Vampire, a character from the Marvel Universe seen on the pages of the comic book in the year 1971.

He was shown battling Spider-Man, and then soon became one of the most sinister villains in the Spidey universe. Decades later from its initial debut, the character was brought forward by Sony, this time for a full-fledged film whose production began sometime in 2018.

The character is a doctor who turns into a vampire on his quest to search for the cure for disease and is played by Jared Leto in the Sony film. The film was done shooting in 2019, and its trailer was released globally the following year in January 2020.

But things went downhill as the pandemic came by, and the film could not be scheduled for a theater release. Morbius was slated for postponed releases many times, but it was not a success until its ultimate release in April 2022.

With the film finally screening in theaters, fans are able to see another of the Marvel villains have a Sony retelling. The director of the film has also opened up about how the character came to be and slowly transformed into the blood-sucking vampire from a doctor. He also explained how the film is connected to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Though the film had already finished shooting before the pandemic, its delayed release meant that some things had to be changed. The changes were hence made in the post-end credits scenes.

The first biggest change was that Michael Keaton did not get to appear anywhere in the film despite being featured in the trailer of the film. He is only seen after the credits of the film have rolled by.

The actor can be seen reprising his role as Adrian Toomes or the Vulture in the film. He was initially seen portraying the part in the 2017 film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

While the actor did not have a central role in the film and was slated to appear after the credits scenes only, his actual form of appearance and the reason why he met Morbius had to be changed after the release of No Way Home. This is the same reason that many scenes from the trailer could not make it to the film.

Sony and Espinosa had already decided that Morbius would stand true to the events of No Way Home, and hence they had to make sure that the details in both the movies were on the similar side. One example is that Morbius features a crack in the sky after Doctor Strange tries his multiverse spell by the end of Tom Holland's third Spider-Man installment.

Espinosa explained that most movies slowly develop into different narratives as time passes by but because Morbius also had to deal with the pandemic, the film had more changes than expected. The film had decided to follow the same timeline as No Way Home, showing that events were running parallel in the film.

However, the concept was disrupted by the onset of the pandemic. The filmmaker then introduced changes to the movie so that the visuals and the concept could stay true for both the films of the same Studio. Still, you can find things that do not have connections to other worlds of the franchise.

The director said that while these people, referring to Morbius, Vulture and Spider-Man are fated to meet at some or other time, the film changed the way those encounters could have happened. He also exclaimed that it is not entirely a bad deal because scripts change all the time.

The first time the Studio entertained the idea of bringing Vulture by Michael Keaton into the world of Morbius, the director of the film was working on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film won an Oscar, began the trend of multi-universe travel, and also came into existence before No Way Home was perceived.

The director admitted that comic book readers see this happening all the time, yet worlds do not always meet in the movies. Marvel has many different worlds, many scattered but they all seem to be connected to each other.

In the telling of the tale of this Studio, the superheroes and villains can at times pick what world they want to hang out in.

The director is also very happy with the appearance of Matt Smith in the film. The actor plays Milo, a childhood friend of Morbius. While the film is still struggling to make a positive remark with the critics, Smith has managed to earn public applause and adoration, and his shirtless dancing scene can be credited for the particular victory.
