Shanna Moakler has a few things to say about Kravis's wedding.
According to reports, Travis Barker’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, has reacted to the recent news of Travis Barker and Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum Kourtney Kardashian’s Las Vegas wedding.
Although the couple did not get married, it was a drunken night thing as Kourtney Kardashian shared a couple of pictures from the night Travis and she got sort of married by an Elvis impersonator to officiate the wedding (without the license). She wrote in her caption that it is always good to have some practice before the actual thing. But this fun elope wedding makes it clear to the audience that the wedding is around the corner for Travis and Kourtney.
Shanna Moakler said in a statement to People that she wishes the best that life has to offer to them on their journey together after congratulating them on their wedding. The wish from the ex-wife of the Blink-182 drummer comes as a surprise as she had been vocal about her dislike of and grievances with Travis and Kourtney’s relationship, especially when it comes to co-parenting kids. One of the users had mentioned in a comment that her kids would now become "Hollywood Royalty" after being linked to the Kardashian family, to which Shanna replied that she is their mother and they were royalty long before.
Shanna was not so supportive of the relationship, especially when the two of them got engaged, as she posted some shady comments on her social media after the news of Karvis being engaged was out. Shanna had put up a story on social media shading her ex's relationship and wrote a quote that read that if someone finds themselves thinking about why would an individual hate them, they should probably ask themselves why do we care about them hating on us. Then she wrote that she is temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance.
The actress later denied the rumors of her shading the engagement of her ex-husband with the Poosh founder. But, when Travis and Kourtney dressed up as characters from the 1993 movie True Romance, one of the users commented that they find it odd that Karvis is bonding over a movie which was Travis and Shanna’s thing when they were married, to which the model replied that it seems like an episode of Punk’d. Shanna shared with us that she found it very weird that Travis had connected with Kourtney over a movie that meant so much to them when they were married.
Shanna said that she called him Clarence in the movie, and they named their daughter after the character Alabama from the movie. She walked down the aisle to "You’re So Cool" from True Romance, and their first dance was to the love song from the movie. The former Miss USA shared that she finds this very odd and she isn’t the only one.
But it was also reported in February that Shanna Moakler is very conscious and aware of what she says and how she says it because their kids are very close to Travis, and she does not want to blurt anything out that would end up hurting the kids and cause a rift in their relationship. The insider reported that when Shanna competed in season three of Celebrity Big Brother, which aired earlier this year, she was very careful and sometimes had to bite her lip to remind herself not to say too much.
Back in May 2021, Shanna accused Kourtney Kardashian of destroying her family and said that her family was broke because of Kardashian and her kids were alienated because of another sister in their family.
But later, she shared with People that she is happy for Travis and wants him to be happy and have a partner that makes him happy and a better father. Shanna also added that as long as the Kardashians are good to her kids, she has nothing to worry about, adding that her kids seem to like Kourt and her family.
Shanna and Travis were married from 2004 to 2008 and share two kids, Landon and Alabama. She is also very close to her step-daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, with whom Shanna shares with Oscar De La Hoya. From 2005 to 2007, Travis and Shanna showcased their life for a reality TV show, 'Meet the Barkers' but the drummer got the show axed because of the toxic energy that the show brought to their relationship as he stated in his autobiography, 'Can I Say'. Shanna shared that the show went ahead to destroy what they had because Travis was conscious about how he would look on a reality show so when the cameras stopped filming, the two became distanced.
Well even if it was a fake wedding, it's good to know that ex-wife Shanna Moakler is onboard with the idea of Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian's forever. Hopefully the audience would get to see the glimpse of their fake elope wedding on The Kardashians.
