Looks like event ceremonies are going quite lax with their security measures these days. What else could explain people being randomly allowed to reach performers on stage without any consequences?

While this specific detail might make you think of the recent Oscars event, it is CinemaCon that is under scrutiny for its questionable security measures now. The organizers are being asked to justify their security measures and why was a person allowed to reach Olivia Wilde while she was on stage and in the middle of a presentation?

Olivia Wilde was on stage at the CinemaCon event on April 27, when she was approached by a woman and 'served' a notice from her ex Jason Sudeikis. The custody paper was handed over to the director in a manila folder and yet no one came to stop her from approaching the celebrity already mid-presentation. The security of CinemaCon has been trying to identify the woman and how she got close enough to the director.

The Managing Director of CinemaCon LLC, Mitch Neuhauser, talked with E! News and shared that this was the first time in the history of the event that someone had approached a presenter just like that. Never have they allowed unauthorized personnel to reach the delegate on stage without being questioned.

The recent events have been the first of their kind, and the CinemaCon manager said that they were figuring out why it had happened and how the lax the security measures were for an unidentified person to reach the Don't Worry Darling director onstage. The manager also said that their first and foremost concern is to make sure that all their attendees are safe and secure.

Olivia Wilde was presenting on stage this April 27 and was to talk about her next film, Don't Worry darling. The movie is a thriller that stars Florence Ough and Olivia Wilde's boyfriend Harry Styles in the lead roles.

Wilde shares a son, Otis, aged 8, and daughter Daisy, aged 5 with former husband Sudeikis. It was around this time during her presentation on the stage of ComicCon that an unidentified woman approaches her. The woman hands over a manila folder to the director which was clearly labeled "personal and confidential."

Wilde was naturally surprised to be handed over a confidential folder in the middle of her presentation and that too on a stage. The shocked director asked if the envelope was for her. She admitted that the moment felt weirdly mysterious to her.

Sadly, Wilde confused the contents of the folder for a script and decided to open the envelope on the stage itself. However, what greeted the House alum was much private and concerning.

Apparently, Olivia Wilde was served the papers of a custody claim by her former husband, the Ted Lasso actor, on the stage itself. Wilde managed to not make a big deal of the contents of the folder. She looked at it for a while and continued to present her topic without saying anything about the papers she was just handed.

Jason Sudeikis himself was quite shocked that such an incident had happened and shared that he had no idea that the papers would be handed to his former wife and the mother of his two children in such a public manner. He added that he will never side with Wilde being served the papers right on the stage, that too when she was expected to give a presentation.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were engaged for a long time before it was revealed that the couple had broken off their engagement of seven years in November 2020.

The two have still been pretty amiable with each other with Sudeikis mentioning Wilde in his award acceptance speeches and more. They have managed to get along in a healthy co-parenting relationship and were doing great with bringing up their children together despite their relationship status.
