Camila Cabello, who has been vocal about her body struggles, took to social media to share yet another incident that made her conscious and insecure about her body.

Camila Cabello explained in a detailed message that, despite having lived in Miami for years, being photographed in her swimsuit by a paparazzi is not her ideal choice because it makes her feel vulnerable, unprepared, and self-conscious about how she appears in the photos. The singer said that this week’s incident was nothing different as, despite getting dressed into a cute outfit that she was ready to show off, she felt a sudden wave of consciousness and went into hyper-aware mode as the paparazzi tried to click pictures of her as she spent her time on the beach.

Camila detailed that her mind was constantly thinking about how she would look in the pictures, so she held her core so tight that her abs started to hurt, she didn’t breathe, and she barely smiled because she was super conscious of where the paparazzi were. The Bam Bam singer mentioned that she loves to spend time on the beach or relax and do what people are supposed to do on the beach or while they are out in nature because she was conscious of the paparazzi being near her.

The Havana singer explained that before she went to the beach, she decided not to eat anything heavy, and she added that she tried to pretend that they were not there, but she could not help herself from being conscious, and as she was seated on her sun chair, she held her breath. Camila Cabello shared that she was confident that she looked good in the pictures and thought that she would feel accomplished, but it was the worst time she ever had on the beach as she felt empty and sad.

The singer, who is preparing to release her new album, recalled how she used to feel carefree and happy on the beach until she began to receive criticism about her appearance in a bikini. She added that she never cared about how the bikini looked on her, but now she is more than conscious and spoke about the same last summer when a few pictures of her went viral and she received negative comments that affected her.

Camila Cabello has been very vocal about her challenges and she spoke to Bustle last August when she detailed how reading those comments made her body insecurities go down. She tried to control the narrative by shutting those body shamers online, but it seems like she still has some of those days where she just needs to let it all out. Camila, in her recent post, added that she is trying her best to distance herself from the toxic environment of a society that has preset body standards for women.

The singer said that she reminds herself about the time that the toxic environment impacted her self-esteem and she was more worried about the culture and society than herself, which should have not been the case in the first place. Camila reflects on how people look at the preset image of a "healthy" woman in society, which may or may not be true for a lot of women. She mentioned that now with photoshop, restrictive eating, exercising, and choosing perfect angles for pictures are used by people to make their bodies look different from how they are in real life, especially after breathing, eating, and allowing the waves to tussle us.

Camila Cabello mentioned that she listens to podcasts related to intuitive eating and follows women on social media or in general who is proud of their cellulite and embraces it along with stretch marks, bellies, and weight fluctuations. The singer mentioned that she is a single woman in her 20s and the middle of a shitton of promotions, and she wants to feel like she looks good.

In conclusion, Camila added that why are people so fixated on looking fit or healthy at the cost of their mental health and not being able to enjoy life the way one should? She added that she is not yet there in her life or journey where she can not give a damn about things and, intellectually, she understands that the way she looks does not determine whether she is healthy or not, happy or not, sexy or not, but emotionally, the messages she gets from the world are loud in her head.

Camila Cabello’s heartfelt post received a huge amount of support and love from the fans, and they have praised her for being so honest and vulnerable about her feelings. Some of the fans also shared with her that they also go through the same thing, so they understand her mindset. On her appearance on The Late Late Show last year, Camila shared with James Corden that she is trying to be okay with the fact that her weight is going to go up and down and said that social media has set crazy beauty standards for women which should not be there.

Camila concluded by stating that real women have cellulite, curves, and fat, and having those things should make one feel bad about themselves, but the crazy set standards on social media keep pushing one towards thinking that it’s a bad thing and simply putting on an over-sized t-shirt to hide their bodies.
